One of the key changes BlackBerry has made this year comes by way of their supply chain and thanks to those changes, the company has scored themselves a 2014 Green Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The awards highlight companies that are making sustainability a core part of the businesses and supply chain strategies. And they have the results to show for it. Almost 200 submissions were received through an open nomination process.
"Our readers are implementing sustainable initiatives within their business processes -- and they want to know that other leading companies in supply chain are also with them in the same approach," said Barry Hochfelder, Editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "Our goal is to honor those companies in our annual awards and credit them with the recognition they deserve. Taking that first step -- knowing where to start when initiating a 'green' plan in one's business -- it's not always the easiest thing to do. We honor this year's top recipients for recognizing that there is a need for supply chain sustainability processes and for contributing to this practice with their global, eco-friendly industry actions."
Also among the winners was BlackBerry partner Ingram Micro Mobility. You can view the full list of winners via the Supply & Demand Chain Executive website. You can also read more about BlackBerry's supply chain and product sustainability here and here.
