If you've been making use of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 beta, you should be pleased to know that it should soon be going official. With the expected release of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 to arrive anytime now, it only makes sense to accompany that device which will be running BlackBerry 6 with BlackBerry Desktop Manger 6. Rumor has it we'll see release of BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 roll out on August 10th, which puts it right in line with the rumored release dat of the BlackBerry Torch 9800. No word on a Mac version release as of yet but, heres hoping Research In Motion doesn't wait too long to roll it out.

The beta of DTM6 didn't support add in apps like Ascendo Datavault. Hope the full version does....

Yeah, I will like grabbing DM 6 when it is official....after the masses have DLed it and I am fully aware of what it can and cannot do.
I like the look and feel of it, but my current version does what I need it to do. No sense upgraded for look and feel if I lose functionality.

Will the new Desktop Manager 6 support sync with either Bluetooth or WiFi? I am annoyed that I have to use a USB cord when my Bold 9650 has both types of wireless communication, and my PC does too.

Once it makes official status, my DM will be updated from 5.1 to 6.0. Nice. I hope it's got the same + newer features.

Yeah.. that's nice I guess. Unless RIM starts providing support to Linux users soon I'm going to be leaving my BlackBerry (I've been a BlackBerry user for almost 5 years now), and moving to something else... maybe Android or Meego.

Hopefully this version will sync efficiently Outlook 2010 with my Bold 9700
