BlackBerry Curve 9380 heading to Telus

Telus Curve 9380

It looks like the BlackBerry Curve 9380 will soon be making its way to Telus. According to this Telus flyer, the full touchscreen Curve should be available in the next few weeks. While we're not totally sold on the Curve 9380 (although we do like the front button layout much better than the Torch 9850/9860), it looks like RIM is aiming towards younger and/or first time smartphone users with this one. The Curve 9380 features a full touchscreen display, 800MHz processor, BlackBerry 7 and more. We'll probably see much more of the 9380 across the board fairly soon so stay tuned :-)

Is the only difference from the Torch 9850/60 the buttons, then? I don't get RIM's branding. If you have an all-touch, it might be a Torch, a Storm, or a Curve. But a Torch could also be a slider, and a Curve could also be a full QWERTY with no touch at all.

Can anyone please confirm if this one's gonna have an Auto-Focus Camera? ..or RIM is gonna cheap us out on this curve as well!!

Curve is an entry level device by RIM...... You never know what they will do feature wise for the device because it is meant to be a cheap alternative of newer BB's

I think RIM will be more successful if they just focused on being the BMW of the mobile world again. Ditch these low end models and stick with the Bold, Torch slide out KB and the all touch torch. There will always be a market for the Blackberry. Will they dominate like they did before ? proly not. But thats ok. Just focus on being that high end maker of mobile devices.
