BlackBerry Curve 8520 Set To Arrive On Fido

We missed this one a few days back now but in any event this should cheer some Fido users up if you are not already using an unlocked BlackBerry on the Rogers owned carrier. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is set to arrive sometime in this quarter as mentioned over at Howard Forums.

"Fido will be launching the 8520 in Black. It will be part of the Q1 launch. No word on what date exactly, however the SKU has been loaded into the system."

That about says it all right there really but just to follow it up a little more we've now heard this information from numerous sources, so the chances of this one happening are pretty good. And it's about time really, Fido has been pushing BlackBerry Pearl 8100s ever since they re-launched their BlackBerry offerings back in Feburary of 2009. Shout out to all the people who sent this in.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 Set To Arrive On Fido

I work for fido and i know we were suppose to get a curve for a long time but just didnt know which one. this is great news!

I am with Fido and hated the iPhone and needed to go back to BB. Yesterday (literally yesterday) I picked up an unlocked BB 8520 and hooked it up to Fido. LITERALLY one day later this comes up on CB. LOL. No harm though, I love my BB, and for all those thinking about an unlocked BB on Fido, it works PERFECTLY and the people at Fido were extremely helpful even though they don't have to ggive customer support for unlocked phones.

fido offically stated that they support unlocked blackberries... so if you have a data plan they must help you get it setup correctly.

btw im on a 8900 on fido =p, im ditching them soon as i can't stand teh fido bullshit they spill

I work for Fido as well, and I honestly hate selling the Pearl 8100. This will sell a lot better, and I won't feel as guilty selling a shitty phone haha
