BlackBerry Curve 8350i Live Images
RIM officially announced the coming of the Sprint / Nextel BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone back on September 10th at CTIA. This post doesn't bring any new news, but it does feature a couple of sweet hands-on images of the latest (long overdue) iDen BlackBerry. The 8350i hasn't received any love on the blogs lately, hence this post (Matt keeps send me emails hounding me to post on it...). I know there's some mixed opinions on the look of it, but I like it! The yellow accents give it a real "work horse" feel. Think Caterpillar or John Deere. Tres Cool. If you're looking for more of a hands-on, you can check out this video at CNet and there are more photos in the forums here.

I said in the post this wasn't news! Just a little love for the 8350i as it hasn't been getting any attention on the blogs lately and there are some people itching for any info/data on it (Matt). Cool on the video though - I added to the post.

i would actually prefer the xtra thickness. I think my curve feels cheap. I wish VZW would get that one.

Yeah, a non-3g phone with wi-fi is much better than a 3g phone without wi-fi...

RE: emial I got in mid Sept...its supposed to be coming out in Oct. BUT Nextel ain't saying when or how much.

The added depth must be why both WiFi and GPS are included.

Needs wi-fi because no 3G. iDen only, no CDMA radios.

Is this coming out in Canada on Mike maybe? My boyfriend just saw it and is now bitching and whining that he wants the "curve with the yellow buttons!"

Thanks for slippin the vid in with this post I appreciate that someone other than me has taken notice of the 8350i. I can't wait to get mine...I've been annoying the hell outta Nextel trying to get a concrete release date...all I get is Oct. The phone is a thicker form factor because of the WiFi GPS and iDen...its a lotta stuff to fit in the thinner Curve body.

I'm Still waiting on a damn release date....Nextel is starting to get under my skin.
I love the phones love the call quality love iDen LOVE the Simply Everything Plan(100.00 a month for unlimited EVERYTHING) HATE SPRINT Customer Care.
Nextel has been so much crappier since Sprint took things over...its like pulling teeth to get anything I mean ANYTHING done with them.

FWIW--Received a small poster sized advertisement today touting the new berry "coming soon". Didn't mention a release date but did give a site to sign up for email notification (been signed up for over a month now).
