BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 and Bold 9650 OTA update available from Verizon?

*Update: Looks like this may be the case for Bold 9650 users as well. Make sure you're running the last official OS from Verizon and see if the update is available to you.

A few users have been reporting in today and it looks like OS 6 may be on the way down the pipeline from Verizon. Justin snagged us this screencap of his 9330 where it looks like OS 6.0.0.431 is available for an OTA update. Still no sign of OS 6 on Verizon's download site, but it's not unlike them to make the wireless update option available ahead of time. If you have a 9330 and are running an official OS, head to the wireless update option and let us know if it's showing for you. Thanks Justin!

This is now showing up on my Bold 9650 as a wireless update for 6.0.0.431.

My 9650 is running .732... update offered is for .975. Crap.

Anyone know if I need to upgrade to .975 to get OS6?

My Bold 9650 is showing a wireless update for 5.0.0.1006 as of 1 minute ago

Mine too, OTA showing the same 5.0.0.1006 but the DM option is OS6.

you have to first update to 5.0.01006 OTA, then you should be able to get the OTA update for os6, but only after you first update to .1006, for the bold.

Those on 9650's will find a thread in the 9650 Forum called 431exe which has the full 431 DM install which you can install on your PC and then use DM or loader.exe to load on to your device.

Yes! I updated to OS v5.0.0.1006 OTA earlier today, and I am completing the OS v6 update as we speak.

Just another reason to absolutely hate verizon and my Tour. Its reasons like this that people shouldnt trust VZW enough to go out and buy an iPhone 4 next week. No doubt in my mind an iPhone 5 will be on VZW by years end and then you, like me with my Tour, will be screwed.

Under a year after its release VZW pulls out the Bold 9650 which upgraded some of the most essential downfalls of the Tour 9630. To add insult to injury, OS updates are pushed to the Tour much slower than they are to Bold (if at all). No love for the early adopters.

Yet no 6.0 love for the 9300 from any American Carriers? What's up with that? If Verizon is ok with this release, how come the 9300 doesn't have a similarily sound release?

anyone else having the wait pop up every 2ish mins? i've been trying to download ota for EVER!!!! you would think waiting this long for the os6 to even be released i could wait for it to download; but i can't!!! :) oh, and are there other faster ways to download it? i have a mac so idk if that gives or takes away different downloading options..

How exciting! I updated to 5.0.0.1006 and then right after I went to check anymore updates and the 6.0.0.431 showed up! I updated both and is awesome!

I upgraded to .975 last night...then had to wait until this evening for .1006 to show up as the next update.
I'm in the process now...I'm guessing that I'll have to wait another day for 6.0 to become available.
Each update takes about 2 hours.

social feeds isn't included in the os update for my bold idk about everyone elses, but it shows social feeds in the preview for os 6 in...

yes yes yes finally. literally checked every 30 min on the 19th. and then twice a day since. have a mac so OTA upgrade to .1006 then upgrade to 6.0

I have a LOT of 3rd party apps and use all of them.... anyone know offhand what the likelihood is that some will stop working on OS6? (I'm on 5.0.0.1005 Bold 9650) and I do see the OS6 upgrade option...

To install Social Feeds, plug your phone into your computer and run the desktop manager. Click on applications and you can Install it from there... finally figured that out after 2 hours on app world :o)

My Bold 9650 upgraded to .333 and it crashes every time I lose signal - about four times a day. It requires a restart and then registering on the network. I'm quite close to going to an iPhone now that they are available on Verizon.

I have a 9650 Verizon that I flashed to Metropc and working great but, I went to upgrade to OS6 and it keeps saying (This BlackBerry® Device Software upgrade includes new features and significant enhancements to the BlackBerry® solution and, as such, is only available to users with an active BlackBerry subscription. To learn more about BlackBerry® service, please visit www.blackberry.com/service). I already registered by HOST ROUTING TABLE. But Nothing gets updated!
How can we force it in so I can see if I get 4G now that Metropcs has 4G?
