going to be for unlimted data on a storm compared to unlimited plan of the bold? Besides wifi - what does the bold have besides the qwerty keyboard and a smaller screen?
Waited months for this thing - i'm sure i could wait for the storm - unless there is some major drawback i'm not aware of.
How do you get AT&T to add the Bold to your Premier site, or does it just show up tomorrow.. ?
It is now on the Premeir/Business website. It went on early this morning.

I gotta say - Storm anticipation aside, I'm tempted to go to a store and play with the Bold tomorrow...if I were to get swayed by its performance, I just might ditch my Storm hopes and stick with AT&T... :shock:

I switched to ATT around 3 months ago, so hopefully I will be able to get a discount on it if I extend my plan another 2 years. Would just be adding on another 3 months. tmobile let me.. lets hope!
So like many other BBAddicts i was pretty upset about the pricing being $400. Well if u go to Wirefly's website they have it for $350 + $100 mail in rebate when u extend ur contract 2 years. Its only $50 difference but hey its helps in this economy. Also if your new member its only $300 so then your saving $100+$100 Rebate.
I picked one up from my local ATT today at 6 pm. one store I went to sold out of all 4 they received and I was the first to get one from the store 2 miles down the rd!!!!

I got mine yesterday!! I couldnt put it down until I had too when da batt got low but i lovvve it!! im lookin for someone with an iphone tomorrow and brag to them just how much better my phone is!!
Well, i'm glad for this release, but hopefully it will usher in two things, i care about more,..the release of OS 4.5 for my BB Curve,..and then news about the Javelin which is what I really want!

Ok, so I spent all evening on the phone with Best Buy, ordered the Bold and paid flat out for it (no upgrade available on plan), $719.00 was the total, and now AT&T shows it for sale on their website? Grrr.
Best Buy was giving me a hard time. At first, it was back ordered. Then it wasn't. But not available for in store pick up (because technically it hasn't been released yet). But would ship express service, and I would have it Wednesday.
I get an email from Best Buy saying the product was on b/o for 1-2 weeks. Then moments after that, the original sales person who took my order (and also 719 dollars) assured me it would ship tomorrow, I would have it Wednesday.
At this point I am confused. Best Buy customer service urged me not to go to the store directly because most likely they would be b/o. I wonder if she fed me that bs to get the sale?
I am wondering I should cancel my oder with Best Buy in the morning, and then order with at&t? And save myself some money. The only thing is, I'd have to wait an extra day for the unit because the only offer 2 day air service with their shipping.

Wow, you are seriously allow those two days to possibly constitute you paying almost 1.5 the amount for the unit somewhere where you were not satisfied? That is not an addiction but an all-out illness my friend. :P

This was my first Blackberry, and it did NOT disappoint one bit. This phone ROCKS! Amazing....4 months of waiting and watching....You will not be sorry....Helluva toy!

I called the store here in NC today about them getting them in and of course he told me what I didn't want to hear. They wouldn't be selling them out right. Only with new contracts.. WTF? Oh well, I came home sat my happy ass at the computer and at 12:05am ordered it. Cant wait to get my hands on this phone!
Just checked wirefly and they have it for $299 / $199 after rebate and instant discount.
Not bad. My inner cheapskate is leaning toward this offer.

I also looked at Wirefly and it looks like it is either for buying it at full price or a brand new ATT account. I am going to do an upgrade and I didn't see that option. Or I would have been very tempted to do it. To save that much would be great. I would hate to wait any longer but I've waited so long now another couple of days would be ok to save that much. Did I miss the Upgrade option??
I am very much OVER the Bold. Where was it when I needed it back in June? Too much time waiting leaves a bitter taste and I will never own a Bold. I'll wait for something else.
So my EDGE connection worked for a while this morning on my Curve but has been dead for over an hour. Indianapolis area, anybody else having issues?

It's on the premier site. I can get it cheaper, but I heard the AT&T stores won't match the premier site in the store - :\
I really don't want to wait 2 days for it to be shipped.

I've been waiting on the Bold to upgrade my phone using the 2 year "Upgrade Advantage". I thought for sure they would be offering a better deal than the stock deal, because it was for the Upgrade Advantage. No dice!! $399 with $100 mail in rebate? Are they serious!?! super crappy pricing
i got 2 iPhones for wifey and i because i got sick of waiting for the bold - not i'm dangerously tempted to add a bold to our family plan...
I finally got my BOLD after waiting in front of the AT&T store since 6:15 am. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Went to the ATT store in North Miami this morning at 9:10, 10 minutes after they opened. People were already waiting in line for the Bold. Took about an hour all together, but finally got the Bold. The phone is sweet, it's fast, the display is awesome, and doesn't feel as big as I expected. Two caveats, the OS takes a while to load from power up and I've noticed the OS lags sometimes with the trackball. Overall worth the wait
So I see on ATT.com its $399 and included a $100 mail in rebate bringing it down to $299.
I logged into my ATT Premier account as I am with HP and it lists the price as $399 with no rebate. Every single phone price is higher in my premier account.
Don't buy it online. At the store or on the phone, they give you the same price no matter what account.
I just called ATT directly to order my bold and they said because i was going to sign a 24 month commitment and because we have a Premier account, my bold was going to be FREE! I was sceptical at first, but i just got my e-mail confirmation and free bold, sim card, and shipping! I just went from being mad at ATT for delaying the bold for so long to being fairly pleased!
