This goes along with the inventory story published here recently. Low inventory -> higher likelihood of stockouts. Ramp up their production, RIM!

It's not just their production, the carriers have to increase their orders. It seems they took a wait-and-see approach to BB7 demand. If the orders do increase it will allow RIM to post better results in the next couple of quarters.

this is what creating all the hype is about, this is why people line up for the iphone, i swear apple does this on purpose to create the hype

Sprint is out of stock too. I ordered it via Amazon and it's on backorder for 5 weeks.

It's no surprise that this phone is sold out. It's a major improvement over previous handsets. It's a pleasure to use!

You know what is sad about this, It will be used to bash RIM again. So its like this RiM you made a product that not enough people want so you need to go out of business or RIM you made a product that everybody wants and everywhere is sold out so you need to go out of business. Sorry folks its a imoron world out there

This morning I called TMobile USA, & they were sold out as well. The TMo stores have some, but not the Account Managers; strange?

Got mine on Tuesday. Looks as if I was just in time. Got it over the phone, am assuming same stock as website. Perfect handset. I am guessing there may be some still in physical shops, hope so as have convinced (via them playtesting mine) some people at work about them (and they were thinking iPhone previously).

Good deal with Voda UK:
9900
1000 mins
Unlimited sms
500mb data
BIS

All for £31 including insurance and no up front fees (24 month although will be 19 and then upgrade again).

Something a LOT of people forget, all BIS comms do NOT eat into your data, so all BBMs, emails and some apps (whatsapp for one) are totally free to run.

Holy S! How'd you get such a good deal?

O2 Germany also sold out!
I think it's only because of the small stocks they ordered...

Did an upgrade today from rogers...They got a shipment in this morning...

Oh well, even if it is due to small stocks, its actually somewhat of a good marketing boost. When people see that items are "sold out" they automatically think "it must be good"...

Ultimately we want more sales, so being "out of stock" isn't necessarily where ya wanna be all the time... But its nice to see anyway... I sure am sick of seeing "sold out of iPhone4's" that's for sure - lol
