RIM’s flagship device, the Bold 9900, is slowly making its way around Europe and has landed in France on SFR. The device, with its touchscreen interface combined with a full QWERTY keyboard and BlackBerry 7, is available on contract from €149 ($214.62) upfront with package. You can up to unlimited calls and texts, as well as data from 250MB to 1GB, depending on the package you get.

Actually it is QWERTZ in Germany ;) i'm not familiar with the key layout used in France, though...

I'm French, and I confirm you that keyboards in France are AZERTY. QWERTZ is indeed German layout.

The Bold 9900 sold by SFR has an AZERTY layout.

I absolutely want it, but 510€ off contract, damn that thing's pricey. Kind of hesitating right now.

Damn AZERTY keyboard.... I am currently located in France and I just cant type on that strange stuff (i even don't want to call it as a keyboard). That's why i am still sticking on with my original bold purchased in Canada.
