A new batch of updates to the BlackBerry Priv apps, such as BlackBerry Services, BlackBerry Device Search, and the BlackBerry Keyboard have now started to arrive on the Google Play Store. For the most part, the noted changes include the typical bug fixes and improvements, but it's also clear Android Marshmallow is on BlackBerry's mind as well as several of the apps have improved support for that now included.

BlackBerry Device Search

BlackBerry Keyboard

  • Turn on type by swiping and slide your finger between letters to form words
  • 200 new and updated emojis
  • Select text with the physical keyboard by holding down the Shift key and tapping the arrows
  • Drag and drop selected text to a new spot on the screen
  • Typing accuracy improvements
  • Prediction improvements through learning contact names

DTEK by BlackBerry

  • View the permissions apps have requested and turn permissions on or off
  • Simplified notification settings
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and performance improvements

BlackBerry Launcher

  • Various fixes

BlackBerry Calendar

  • Provides support for the Android Marshmallow release and runtime permissions
  • Updates to busyness indicators in Calendar month view
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

BlackBerry Password Keeper

  • View number of records you have stored, based on the filter view

Given it's nearly the end of the month, and the Android Marshmallow release date is coming, it seems as though BlackBerry is getting things all lined up accordingly. Be sure to load up Google Play and get your apps updated if you haven't done so already. There's also sure to be a few more coming as well.
