This is more so for those of you who have never installed BlackBerry App World before, because those of you who have it already should have gotten the notification update by now. In any event, BlackBerry App World has been updated once again and now sits at version 1.1.0.23. While no changelog came with this release I'm sure once it gets in the hands of more users we'll see some information about what has been addressed with this release in the forums. app world still has 1.1.0.20, i went to blackberry.com/appworld instead

i hope this fixes the buggyness of trying to install or uninstall a program from within the appworld and it deleting all of the apps, and the app world and when you reinstall the appworld you get all of the archived icons. when you try to reinstall from the archive it deletes all the apps and the appworld again. bug
solves the "delete app problem" for me - but still the wrong Trial & Buy versions will be delivered once a developer have uploaded a new version to the vendor portal :-|

I think its bad that you cant even get a notification of a updated app. FB took almost a two weeks to send me one, but I already had it on my phone and the app didnt recognized this. Its totally unaware of anything new.
I have version .20 and havent received an update alert. went to website from phone browser and could'nt access the upgrade? little help? I have a Tour and am running .230
still not showing in appworld, but website works. On reboot, I also got a bing and v cast videos from vzm too. oh joy...
I have it in my appworld but in appcenter its doesn't say it has an update.
I too got the bing and v cast videos too so i have made a folder call VZW Pointless "Stuff" << edited hehe i have a feeling we will be getting a lot more stuff like that...o well
I agree. I appreciate Crackberry.com for keeping me in the know, but why can't we get a notification to our device that the update is there? I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation that involves all the service providers and their pointless, overbearing holding out on the updates to the OS and such....geez!
so this is an update for who knows what. but still not supported on 5.0? for those of us anxiously awaiting.
we probably not getting the update specifically for that reason. since it don't work as it is running 5.0.
Running .314 on my 8900 and it let me download and install from RIM's website. App world is still showing the old version.

I rebooted after installing the new app world version and did not receive either bing or vcast videos???
first i heard there was an update for this.... i never get any e-mails telling me there is an update...

RIM really needs to get better with the upgrade notification. I still haven't received one and don't even have the ability to download the new version from the App World....I'll have to go to blackberry.com.

Ugh! The people that are having troubling installing App World, MUST not use the "back up" from DM when updating from a 4.7 OS to a 5.0 OS. If you installed it and it's not working, UNINSTALL App World, RESET THE PHONE, then RE-INSTALL from the BLACKBERRY WEBSITE. Then App World will work FINE! I have had ZERO issues with App World working EXCEPT when it was installed incorrectly. App world has always worked with OS 5.0 since the last 1 or 2 updates!!
Even though I have the official OS 5.0 for my Curve 8330, I still can't get into App World. Still says there is a problem with BB server, check the browser.... anyways, I have since deleted it and I'm using the crackberry store instead, just as good if not better.

Bold 9000 - doesn't work. Keeps requesting I get a data package from my provider.
I upgraded and now my facebook app dissapeared from my world but the app is still working fine and also when i click on AIM in my world it says "this applicationis not available on your device or for your carrier". Weird, i'm glad i have everything installed already. I tried reinstalling bb app world 2 times with the same results.
First version that works on my Bold running leaked 5.0 firmware.
This App world stuff is getting annoying.
Just release 1 good version so we can stop being beta tester.
I went to my application center on my BB, refreshed the list, and the update was there.
I still have no notification of a new version. Went to app world and still has the one im using now.
App world is BROKEN with .328. Makes programs crash and burn. Had to uninstall to get yahoo messenger working again.
I never got the notice that this upgrade was available. I found out about it here. Downloaded and will try it.
Installed it on my Tour running 5.0.0.230 with no problems.

Did it fix the memory leak that cam with the previous versions?

I do noticed that on both 8330 and 8330m that the mem has increased (so says app world) by about 5mb's. So thats a great start.
