BlackBerry App World has again been updated - this time to 1.1.0.24. This is only one click up from the last update, so nothing fantastic to report. If you find anything new or different be sure to let us know in the comments. You can grab the update by heading to blackberry.com/appworld from your device.
The second I read this, my Appworld icon disappeared from my phone haha!

what's new on this one. according to the post above. it now works on curve running 5.0. bout damn time too.
looks like if you go to myworld. and hit the menu button. you now also get a memory bar. course, i've been without for 2 months so i don't know if that was there before.
now they've got it working for all phones with 5. maybe we'll start getting some official 5's.

The new "test center" category was only presenting Myspace 1.5, until I updated App World to .24 from .23. Then I let me update. That's the only thing I notice off the bat.
It still shows "This app isn't available to download from Appworld" Fck MySpace. Facebook ftw.
old app world showed myspace 1.5, but i just got the new app world, and myspace 2.0 showed up but I got the same error as you. WTF!!

i was running .23 and the test centre was already there, I just upgraded to .24 and i hope the only difference is that it doesnt disappear from my blackberry when i go to delete a program.
I updated App World but it has disappered from my phone :(
Updating the appworld today gave me the option finally to upgrade to myspace 2.0. I just did and about to check it out. I really hope it's a lot better than the last version. Hoping it works as well as the FB app. HTH!

Is this updated to work with PayPal yet. I've been trying to buy an app for the past 2 day s & have been getting an error message. I double-checked, my paypal acct is correct. Help.
I get an application 910 authorization failure everytime I try to install this new version. Have deleted every thing to do with AppWorld and reset phone and still same results.
Still did not fix my "log in" issue. I havent been able to retrieve apps already purchased since last two App World upgrades. I have deleted and reinstalled,battery pulled,reinstalled software OS, nothing! When logging in to paypal account on App World to retrieve purchased app, I get an error message stating "Cannot connect to the Blackberry App World server. Make sure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again". I have called RIM on this issue and supposedly they are working on it. Been waiting for months! So apps that I have paid for I cannot get back unless I purchase again and I cannot even buy apps from App World. I suggest Blackberry get an account like Shop Crackberry! All the apps I bought through Crackberry are still available and shows my registration code. I suggest to buy all apps through ShopCrackberry from now on seeing RIM cannot get their glitches worked out! Advice to all developers, DO NOT RELEASE ANYTHING UNTIL YOU TESTED YOUR OWN PRODUCT FOR A GOOD YEAR BEFORE YOU BESTOW YOUR GLITCHY GARBAGE ON YOUR CLIENTS! WE REFUSE TO BE YOUR LAB RATS!

Im getting tired of updating this appworld every few weeks it seems for hardly any changes.
When you go to my world the apps you have deleted and deleted the archives for are no longer annoyingly lingering around =) Beyond that I'd like to send a special shout out to RIM HURRY THE HELL UP WITH OS 5.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I can see all it does is place a bunch of unwanted junk icons in your downloads folder.

...it's AT&T. When you rebooted your phone these icons were delivered to it. You can't delete them, they will just come back everytime your service books are sent or you register the phone. Create a "JUNK" Folder on your phone, move the icons to it, and then hide the folder.
Upgrade removed all the 'Removed Applications' from the My World - Freed up about 3 meg of app space.
It is showing again (in my App List) after upgrading App World. Also it shows an upgrade now. Hope it fixes why it stopeed working.

and since no one seems to have the answer to my question in the forums, i'll ask here. does anyone else have a problem with 55 minute phone call reboots? 5 seems to be the problem. with original i can go close to 60 minutes, but the person i talk too has a tour running 5. she also has a password. something happens with the phone asking for her password so teh call gets disconnected. but that only happens if i run 4.5 so i can't tell if phone still has a problem. all i can say is 5.0 won't last before her phone passwords out. 50 -55 minutes and phone just reboots. one time it only went 32 minutes. sprint whacked out the original curve. so i got a brand new replacement. but problem still exists.

I updated, not only did one deleted application disappear so did the several archived applications that the program had previously saved to my SD card. I can see with FileScout that they are still on the card. What a pain.
I seem not able to download App World on my bold 9700, I have been getting the "unsupported..." even after upgrading to .351
If someone is able to download the App World and can upload it to rapidshare.com that would be greatly appreciated.

Just installed this and it bricked by BB9630. This is the 2nd time this has happened in a month. I really love my BB, but I am starting to hate it. I don't have these install issues on my iPhone. I wish RIM would figure out why this happens to the Tour so much. A freaking waste of time...

Hexen! i just got my Bold 9700 a week ago, unlocked and unbranded and with the current version of the os that it came with it tells me mobile not supported, RIM seriously needs to solve this issue, no such thing as apps can only be downloaded in that certain country. First they have to fix the compatibility issues first, I mean with their newest device the least is it should come with App World.
Anyone been able to download App World and can upload it for me on rapidshare.com or any other similar services?
Someone please extract the COD and post it to megaupload or rapidshare. I am still getting the you cannot put on your device. Maybe because I am running a beta OS 5.0?
All these extra icons that were added are tat! I never clicked anything to accept these as download or was advised of the same. Come on RIM,play fair if I had wanted these apps I would have found them myself. I should be allowed to delete them
I downloaded the update for App World yesterday on my Curve 8330 (us cellular). When I try to start it, it locks up my phone. I have to perform hard reset (pulling battery out while on) to fix problem. I've deleted the application, redownloaded it, and it locks again. I'm running OS 4.5 Anyone else having this problem? Can anyone help?
