Howdy CrackBerry nation! This week was a busy one and not just because kids are back in school and everyone is back at work. But enough of my post vacation woes, it is time to bring you up to speed on what has transpired since our last outing. The latest BBM Beta brought it with it several new features including the all new BBM Sticker Club, BlackBerry OS 10.3.2.2639 began rolling out to multiple regions and devices, John Chen will be speaking at Code/Mobile in October, and there was a another edition of the BerryFlow Upstream Podcast.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Advanced Tic Tac Toe - Online multiplayer game by FincoApps

Advancved Tic Tac Toe

Browsing through the App Announcement forums, I came across a post about our first game. We are all familiar with this simple game that occupied our childhood but a BlackBerry developer decided to add an extra twist. Rather than vie to get three across, players are now asked to connect 5 x's or o's in a row on a grid. The game is rather simple when it comes to graphics but it does offer the ability to play with other players online. In addition, players can play against the computer, set the AI difficulty, and load a saved game. This native game is free to download in BlackBerry World.

Slydris by Radiangames

Slydris

Going through the Amazon Underground I came across Slydris. This addictive puzzler is free in the Underground, as it is normally $1.99. As someone who grew up addicted to Tetris, firing up my Passport and downloading this game was a no brainer. The premise is simple but it is no easy feat to accomplish. Your goal is to slide the blocks that fall from the top to create full lines of blocks at the bottom to clear them. Players can create combos, create a row of a single color for a burster, and even utilize other special blocks (including bombs) to enhance gameplay. There are three modes to choose from: Infinite, Zen Mode, and Survival. All it takes is clearing 25 lines to advance to the next level. You can find it in the Amazon Underground App.

KeepTrack Pro by Zagalaga

KeepTrack Pro

On another search through the Amazon Underground (normally priced at $1.99) I came across this simple yet flexible tool for tracking just about anything you can think of. Whether you wish to track your weight, exercises, books read, medications, amount of coffee, or any other kind of information you can all from this app. It is designed to track numerical values, text, yes/no questions, mark specific times, predefined values, and duration. Once a tracker is created you can set an initial and default value, set a goal value, and enter in the units and increments. What I find interesting is what happens once you start tracking. KeepTrack Pro creates reports based on your entries. You can view the results as a list or a graph, which is a nice way to visualize your progress. There is also a stats page for even more detailed information. You can download this for free, at the time of this post, in the Amazon Underground App.
