Guessing Game by Toysoft Development

Guessing Game

Our first selection this week is a quick and fun charades game you can play with friends and family. Gamplay is quite simple and many of you may be familiar with how this multiplayer game operates. The object of the game is for one person to hold up their device in front of them. Their device will display a clue, which the other players will try to communicate hints to the first person to try and guess what the answer is. Users can adjust the time from three seconds to five minutes for each question.

To track if questions are answered correctly or incorrectly, Guessing Game taps into the accelerometer. A simple flip down until it vibrates indicates a correct answer, while flipping the device back towards you until it vibrates records an incorrect answer. Players can skip questions by swiping to the left on the screen.

Guessing game is preloaded with eight different categories for hours of fun for people of all ages. There is also an option for players to create their own questions. An interesting byproduct of this feature is that the game can also double as a flash card study tool. You can find this native game and flash card application in BlackBerry World for $0.99.

Doctor Who: Legacy by Tiny Rebel Games

Doctor Who Legacy

Doctor Who first hit the airwaves all the way back in 1963. To help celebrate the 50th Anniversary, BBC Worlwide teamed up with Tiny Rebel Games to create this brilliant puzzle game for fans around the world. Since its initial release, the game has been updated to include the 12th Doctor, as played by Peter Capaldi, as well as the latest companions. As you and your team advance through each board and level, you can unlock all of the Doctors and companions and add them to you team to battle enemies through a series of match-3 games. Players can mix and match their team from the modern series as well as favorites from Classic Who.

Players are shown a board of gems and must match three or more of a particular color, each of which is associated with a team member, so that the characters can attack the various enemies. By matching pink gems, you heal the team, and by matching blue gems, the Doctor is able to use his special skill to clear the board. Unlike other match-3 games, gems can actually be moved across the entire board to make a match.

With its eye catching graphics (though some of the characters do not look like their real-life counterparts), original music, and episodes inspired from the show, how could you not want to download this free game? If you are looking to travel through all of time and space with your favorite Doctor, be sure to grab this from Google Play.
