Howdy CrackBerry nation! My, what a busy week this has been. From the latest news and apps, to all the BlackBerry Priv help and how-to guides hitting the front page, where to begin? We kicked things off with another edition of the BerryFlow Upstream Podcast, saw John Chen discuss the Priv's role in BlackBerry's future, and even painfully watched as the Priv endured a brutal durability test. Finally, don't miss out on your second chance to win a BlackBerry Priv.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

RelaxSoundFree by duccloud

RelaxSoundFree

There are countless sleep applications available in BlackBerry World, yet that doesn't bar me from having to try each and every one, especially from a familiar developer. RelaxSoundFree is from the developer behind DNote. This free and simple application offers six different sounds with a drop down timer. You can find this native application in BlackBerry World.

For those who love to draw and doodle, there is this newly released native application. If you search the storefront high and low you are bound to come across a few sketch applications, but having options is always important as each one comes with different capabilities. CanvasMe is a simple drawing application with which to express your ideas and test your skills. Using the minimalistic interface, users can set the brush color, size, and opacity. Unencumbered by menus and toolbars, this frees up the display for whatever you wish to draw. When you are finished, simply tap on the save button. Todoist: To-Do List, Task List by Doist

Todoist

Now that my Priv is up and running, of course the first thing I do is search the store for a great productivity application. I've been meaning to try this one for quite some time and am glad I finally have the chance. This simple to-do and task management application is geared towards keeping you organized and being a collaborative tool for work. Whether you wish to track a project, pay a bill, collaborate with your team at work, it manages your tasks no matter where you are even if offline. Users can color-code projects, create tasks and sub-tasks, link to other third-party applications such as Google Drive and IFTTT, and use the inbox for adding and prioritizing tasks.

Todoist is free to download but in order to access premium features a yearly subscription is required. Another feature Priv owners will appreciate is that Todoist utilizes pop-up widgets. By swiping over the app icon users can choose how they wish to see their tasks (i.e. Default view, projects, labels, and filters). You can download Todoist for free from Google Play.

Nibblers by Rovio Entertainment Ltd.

Nibblers

Of course the first thing I had to do was download a game from Google Play and see how the experience went. My first game was the latest from the folks over at Rovio. Rather than release a game involving physics and birds they went with a good old fashioned puzzler with their own unique spin. This bright and colorful match-3 game takes us out of the air and into the water. Your goal is to wipe out the nasty lizards that are munching on the fruit that belong to the island inhabitants. Over the course of 200 levels, you must navigate through various obstacles and levels to make sure these fish, or Nibblers, have their fruit. Players can connect to Facebook to challenge their friends, save their progress, and share special gifts.

What else can I say but that the characters are cute, gameplay is quick and smooth, and the graphics, as always with Rovio, are brilliant especially on the Priv's screen. Nibblers is free to download from Google Play.

CRUSH by Radiangames

CRUSH

There is something to be said of time wasters. From the developer behind Slydris comes another interesting puzzler. The goal may sound easy, but executing is another story. Your mission is to keep the blocks from filling the screen by removing matching colors. However, every touch made only boosts the stack higher and makes you that much closer to being crushed. Gameplay consists of three modes: Think, React, and Crush. If you are looking for a game to combine speed and strategy then it is available in the Amazon Appstore for $1.99 and free in the Amazon Underground (US, UK, Germany, and France only). Please note that not all BlackBerry 10 devices will be able to download the free version.
