Howdy CrackBerry nation! Not only have we come to the end of the week, but it's Friday the 13th to boot. However, all sorts of good things have been going on this past week since the Priv officially launched last week. Writers and editors at CrackBerry and Android Central have been working nonstop to bring you the latest News, Help, How-To & Tips, and everything else there is to know about BlackBerry's newest device powered by Android. If you haven't had a chance be sure to check out coverage on both sites. However, let's get back to some BlackBerry 10 goodness.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Dragon Jumper by VSmobileSolution

Dragon Jumper

Looking for a fun and silly game for the kids? Dragon Jumper is a cute little game with simple gameplay. Reminiscent of other jumping games, the goal is to have your dragon jump as high and as fast as he can. This has to be done all while dodging the various enemies that appear along the way. The graphics are colorful, it offers smooth controls with which to operate (tilt or touch), and the sounds fit as well. While I am directing this towards the younger crowd, it can also be a good time waster for adults. You can find this Android Port for free in BlackBerry World.

BusyBee by sirius_27

BusyBee

From the developer that brought you scroBBLE, comes this handy utility tool. Dubbed as an answering machine for BlackBerry 10, BusyBee allows users to create custom profiles to manage your calls. Users can custom the configuration of each profile for a specific duration, such as when you are in an important meeting. Users can also arrange custom messages and signatures contacts, customize the answering machine for specific contacts, and create priority contact that override the active profile settings. This is a headless application with additional features planned for future releases. You can grab this in BlackBerry World for $2.99.

Triangle by Appsideasy

Triangle

Our next selection is a cross platform game with a very direct name. The goal is to try and make as many valid triangles as possible by combining smaller triangles. Players are presented with the option of choosing between two modes: classic mode where you can complete twenty one levels with three levels of difficulty (easy, normal, or hard): and arcade mode where you play against the computer to beat your own score in each of the three difficulty levels. In addition, you can also go into multiplayer mode to challenge your friends. Triangle is free to download from BlackBerry World for select devices: BlackBerry Classic, BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Q5, Porsche Design P9982, and Porsche Design P9983 only. For all other devices, you can install from the Amazon Appstore.

Weather Live by Apalon

Weather Live

Day in and day out I always promise myself to check the weather forecast. I know there are plenty of applications to choose from, including the one baked into BlackBerry 10, which provide detailed weather forecasts and conditions. However, I always like to have options and switch between different apps depending on what's needed. What I like about this one are the additional features, such as changing the layout depending on how much information should be displayed. This includes the dashboard (all details), dashboard lite (current state only), Text only (all details), and Circle View (all details). In addition, users can configure the parameters of each view to include humidity, precipitation, sunrise/sunset, dew point, wind chill, visibility, and moonrise/moonset. For me, the application presents the information clearly, offers a nice UI (that changes with the time and weather), and is easy to use. You can find it for free in the Amazon Underground (US, UK, Germany, and France only) or for $0.99 in the Amazon Appstore.

Hub Locker for BlackBerry 10 by Runisoft

Hub Locker

For anyone looking for a little extra security in order to protect sensitive emails, text messages, pin messages and other Hub contents and notifications, Runisoft, the developer behind Ultimate Backup, released this simple app. It gives users the ability to lock their hub and protect it with a password to shield from prying eyes. The directions are outlined in the App World description as well as a note about deleting the icons for the Hub and Text Message apps from the display (though one can find them in BlackBerry World to reinstall). Hub Locker is $0.99.

What You Might Have Missed

Visual Arts by Toysoft Development

Visual Arts

Being able to customize your device and make it your own is always important. Visual Arts gives users the option to automatically set a wallpaper for the HomeScreen and the LockScreen when the outside weather condition changes. In addition, you can view additional details such as temperature, city, name, weather condition, battery percentage, and current date on the screen as well.

As an extra feature, users can also control the layout of where these details appear on the screen so as not to interfere with your favorite background. There are 48 weather conditions you can select a different wallpaper for and other personalization options as well.

Visual Arts is $1.99 in BlackBerry World for OS 10.3 and higher. For those of you who own a Priv have no fear. Toysoft has released a version compatible with Android devices running OS 4.03+. You can find both links below.
