Happy May to all! Hope everyone out there is recovering nicely from WES last week... Hopefully there aren't too many 'WES Hangovers'... I trust by now they're long gone. Lots of good stuff came out of the symposium, and for me, I'm probably looking forward to getting my hands on the 9100 the most. I've never been a Pearl user, but hey, it's been updated for the times and I think if you've ever even had a small inclination to give the 8100 a try, the 9100 will be a solid performer. But I digress... Let's start talking BlackBerry Apps. Covered this week in the roundup are the following titles:

Giveaway of the Week: Cool Search

Freebies of the Week: Dragon for Email, Free YouTube Player for BlackBerry, BreezyPrint

In Case You Missed It: CardStar for BlackBerry, Waze for BlackBerry Public Beta, Fixmo Tools 1.1, S4BB Rolls Out DataBackup Beta 4, SkyMall App for BlackBerry

New This Week: Murphy's Laws, Multi Timer, SuperLaunch

Cool at BlackBerry App World: UPS Mobile

Note: Don't forget, you can always search for titles featured in the App Roundup within App World... Some apps mentioned may be available there for your device.

In regards to DRAGON For EMAIL, Crackberry states: "Working on all BlackBerry devices in the US,..."

Uh, not really. According to Dragon, these are the actual supported carriers:

Supported Carriers:

AT&T
AT&T Wireless US
T-Mobile (USA)
T-Mobile/Former SunCom Wireless (USA)
Verizon MVNO US
Verizon Wireless (USA)
Verizon Wireless Wholesale (USA)
Verizon Wireless Wholesale - CloseCall (USA)
Verizon Wireless Wholesale - Earthlink (USA)

-Wolf-

(happily using my Blackberry Curve 8530 on Sprint CDMA)

Yeah, it sucks. I don't understand why anyone's carrier should matter... It's telling me that my carrier and device (9550) isn't supported.

Hmmm I think search many many many websites all equally often. Mostly I use google but occasionally yahoo when it's down :(

I try to dwnload Dragon and it just keeps taking me in a loop. Has anyone else been able to dwnload? I would love to be able to use this. Thanks

Got it thanks anyway

and crackberry for my blackberry phones!!! count me in i really like to have cool searchhhh in my bold 9700!! it will help me alot!!! thx CB :)

Been using a Droid for four months and miss the total seamless enterprise experience. As soon as my new Storm2 arrives I am back. Winning this would be a cool way to welcome me back CB!

The sites I use and visit most often are: google earth, blackberry.com, wikipedia, internet wayback machine- the weather network (canada) gmail youtube and etsy.com

this app would be most useful

I hope to get me a free copy, save some dough :-)

tried the trial on my 9550 running .320 and the search option fails with an error of "The protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different URL." using their stock config'd google search.

also, isn't the cool search app almost a cheap knock off of quicklaunch? after playing with cool search and looking at quicklaunch, they seem almost the same.....

Anyone know how I can get a copy of Dragon without going through Appworld? Appworld is blocked by my organization, but I'd like to get my hands on that app.

I was able to get Cardstar, and it actually worked. Great app!
