Happy May to all! Hope everyone out there is recovering nicely from WES last week... Hopefully there aren't too many 'WES Hangovers'... I trust by now they're long gone. Lots of good stuff came out of the symposium, and for me, I'm probably looking forward to getting my hands on the 9100 the most. I've never been a Pearl user, but hey, it's been updated for the times and I think if you've ever even had a small inclination to give the 8100 a try, the 9100 will be a solid performer. But I digress... Let's start talking BlackBerry Apps. Covered this week in the roundup are the following titles:
Giveaway of the Week: Cool Search
Freebies of the Week: Dragon for Email, Free YouTube Player for BlackBerry, BreezyPrint
In Case You Missed It: CardStar for BlackBerry, Waze for BlackBerry Public Beta, Fixmo Tools 1.1, S4BB Rolls Out DataBackup Beta 4, SkyMall App for BlackBerry
New This Week: Murphy's Laws, Multi Timer, SuperLaunch
Cool at BlackBerry App World: UPS Mobile
Note: Don't forget, you can always search for titles featured in the App Roundup within App World... Some apps mentioned may be available there for your device.
Giveaway of the Week:

Cool Search is a great little app that saves you time and key strokes! Append any of your popular search engines to the keywords you are searching for and Cool Search will return all the results that your search engine can offer you. For example if you want to use Google to search for fireworks, type: “g fireworks” to get all of the results from Google for fireworks. Similarly for Yahoo type: “y fireworks”. There are lots of pre-installed keyword searches and you can add your own as well. Features include Fastsearching, fastkeyword and fast launching to save you time and get results fast! You will need a memory card on your device and of course a data plan to support the data searches. Cool Search works on devices with OS 5.0 or higher.
If you'd like to enter for your chance to win one of 25 free copies of Cool Search, answer the following question in the comments:
Which websites do you search most often?
Leave your answer in the comments now... Good luck!

In regards to DRAGON For EMAIL, Crackberry states: "Working on all BlackBerry devices in the US,..."
Uh, not really. According to Dragon, these are the actual supported carriers:
Supported Carriers:
AT&T
AT&T Wireless US
T-Mobile (USA)
T-Mobile/Former SunCom Wireless (USA)
Verizon MVNO US
Verizon Wireless (USA)
Verizon Wireless Wholesale (USA)
Verizon Wireless Wholesale - CloseCall (USA)
Verizon Wireless Wholesale - Earthlink (USA)
-Wolf-
(happily using my Blackberry Curve 8530 on Sprint CDMA)
Zanshin- May 7, 2010 at 4:01 pm
Yeah, it sucks. I don't understand why anyone's carrier should matter... It's telling me that my carrier and device (9550) isn't supported.
