Howdy all, it's time once again for the weekly App Roundup. Now I spent my time wisely this week rustling up some new, cool, and helpful applications for all you BlackBerry addicts to try. Be sure to check them out by clicking through the gallery below and remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

JobGuru by Imad Azzam

This handy application allows users to search multiple listings from the supported online job search engines all in one place. Convenient for when you are on the go, JobGuru displays details about the listing including description, date and time created, when and where it was posted, and a link to the original. In addition to its search capabilities there is a reminder function for adding to your calendar, the option to save listings you are interested in within the application, adding and opening attachments such as resumes or cover letters, and an export as CSV file to download all of your saved jobs to your device or media card. This app is useful when trying to manage your search or to just quickly find employment opportunities no matter where you are for follow up later. It is free to download for BlackBerry 10 and the developer explains the reasons for the permissions requested in the description.

Hotels 4D by Melson JSC

As I patiently await for summer to arrive here in New York, it is always a good thing to get a head start on planning my vacation. I’m always searching for a good travel application and this one helps you search from over 770,000 hotels worldwide. With it slick interface, travelers can quickly filter by price or star rating on an interactive map, use GPS to locate ones nearby, view deals and promotions, compare rates, or read city descriptions and helpful travel hints. This free application supports all BlackBerry 10 handhelds.

Shuffle Match by Pocketeers Limited

To take a break from the daily grind of work, I do enjoy a good puzzle game. This game is quite challenging even though the premise is simple. The object is to remember the numbers on the left board, shuffle and then find them on the right board. Players can track their stats, choose between easy and hard play modes, play up to a 10x10 grid, and give their brain a workout all at the same time. For a purchase price of $.99, you can play on the BlackBerry PlayBook or on your BlackBerry 10 device.

gPodder by Thomas Perl

Normally I listen to podcasts on my computer but if you are looking for an application for your device then give this free option a try. It is a podcast aggregrator that downloads and manages free podcasts to listen on your computer or on your mobile device. While it is written in QML it still offers a clean UI. With this application, users can copy and paste the feed URL of their podcast in order to subscribe. The number of podcasts and available episodes are shown on the main screen with the option to play, download, delete, or to view the description. This cross-platform podcast app may be simple but it gets the job done if all you want to do is listen to your favorite audio and video content. It supports BlackBerry 10 and the PlayBook.

Mac OS X Theme by CJH

For all the legacy theme lovers out there, including myself, I just had to include one this week. CJH has always been known for their minimalist designs but their latest one is one of their best because of the graphics. Say what you must about this being a replica of another platform, the attention to detail and the complexity of the theme has to be admired. For only $.99 you can grab this brilliant theme at the link for most devices running OS 5 and higher.
