Howdy CrackBerry nation! Another week has passed so you know what that means? Not only is it time to share with you another batch of apps for your BlackBerry 10 or Priv smartphone, but it's also time to catch up on all the news that transpired since we last met.

Starting things off this week was a brand new episode of the BerryFlow Podcast, where the team tackled several topics including the BlackBerry Priv Autoloaders and the Mobility Summit on April 6. This week also brought with it a few updates, which includes Camera++, Inst10, and the Priv's BlackBerry Services.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all you passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite didn't make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Compose by Glam Software

Compose

Looking for a minimalist text editor to provide distraction-free writing? Compose removes the unnecessary parts to ensure you only focus on the words being written. It does retain the important elements of a text editor such as word count, font type and size, folder system for organizing files, and autosave.

Compose offers a clean and simple interface for all your writing needs no matter where you are. In addition to being a basic text editor, it comes with Markdown support and preview, Dropbox synchronization, backup/restore, and the ability to switch between a light/dark/sepia theme.

Whether you wish to jot down notes or tasks, write a story, or draft a message for work, Compose utilizes the entire screen to keep you focused.

You can find Compose in BlackBerry World for $3.99.

Trove by Glendonwyn Inc.

Trove

I recently renewed my renter's insurance policy and it reminded me how I needed to keep things in order. One such way is with a home inventory app. These type of apps can track what you own and their value and can be used for insurance purposes, as well as, other events that may arise. Trove is a new addition to the BlackBerry storefront and is designed for just this purpose.

Trove is a clean and easy-to-use native application for storing and documenting information on the belongings in your home or apartment. It allows you to enter in a detailed list of your possessions including a description, photo, the make, model, and serial number, and value. You can enter in items ranging from jewelry and electronics, to furniture and more personalized pieces.

For those who wish to track their inventory, you can find this native app in BlackBerry World for $0.99.

Stack by Ketchapp

Stack

As the name Stack implies, the goal of this Android game is to stack the blocks as high as you can. The game is quite simple as the blocks fly in from both sides of the screen and it is up to you to match it up perfectly to the block underneath. If you do, you move on to the next. If not, part of the block is cut-off, meaning you have a smaller area with which to align the next block in the tower.

What sets Stack apart from the rest are the graphics and eye-catching colors, as well as the straightforward simplicity. Fun and engaging, this is certainly a great way to pass the time.

Stack is free to download from Google Play with ads. If you wish to remove ads, this requires an in-app purchase of $1.86.

Agar.io by Miniclip.com

Agario

Another interesting game to be downloaded from Google Play this week is Agar.io. In this universe, you are but a tiny cell looking to become the biggest of them all. How do you accomplish this? You do so by absorbing, or eating, smaller cells (some of which are controlled by other players), to grow larger. Also, this must be accomplished without being eaten by the larger players.

The controls for Agar.io are easy to use: simply glide your finger across the screen to navigate your cell, or tap in the general direction you wish to go. However, these can be adjusted in settings. My only issue is trying to survive beyond five seconds. Every direction I turn there seems to be a monster cell lurking about.

What I find interesting is how the other players customize their cells. This is accomplished by purchasing skins either by using the coins earned through gameplay or by purchasing additional coins. You may also purchase XP and Mass Boosts as well in Agar.io's store.

Agar.io is both frustrating and entertaining at the same time. You can download it for free in Google Play.
