Howdy CrackBerry nation! Are you all ready for the weekend? After this week I certainly am. No sooner had I read the announcement that OS 10.3.2 and Blend 1.2 would be available for all devices than I found the update on my BlackBerry Passport. For those of you still waiting for the rollout, OS 10.3.2.798 update files are now available. Last, but certainly not least, the American Customer Satisfaction Index published a survey that shows BlackBerry customer satisfaction in the US is growing faster than other brands. Not a bad way to end the week if I do say so myself.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Umbrella by Eugene Popov

Umbrella

If you are searching for an application or game to check out, our forums are the perfect place to discover new ones. I happened to come across this native application and, of course, had to see what it was about. Umbrella is a simple application to keep you apprised of the latest weather conditions in your area. Using information from the Weather Underground service, it provides daily, 10-day, and hourly (for 36 hours) forecasts for any city. For those in the US and Europe you can receive severe weather alerts with hub notifications. It also offers the ability to set the weather update interval, set custom background and foreground, and shows a list of favorite cities and weather stations. The interface is fast and clean and allows for customization. Being able to use my own images as the background is what makes this stand out. You can try Umbrella for free by searching in BlackBerry World. The link to the premium version is shown below and it is $1.99 to download for BlackBerry 10.

Simple Workout by Lebreton Pierre

Simple Workout

Now that summer is almost upon us, the time has come, at least for me, to start completing those New Year's goals. Simple Workout is a gym log for BlackBerry 10 that was designed to record your workouts so you can focus more on your exercises and routines. The interface is easy to use and is already programmed, by default, with several common exercises so you do not have to enter them in manually. Users can chart their progress, backup and restore their data, and export the information as a CSV file to view on your computer. There is also a summary page whereby you can view all of the stats and details pertaining to your workouts. You can find this application for free in BlackBerry World.

Insta File Manager by Ajani InfoTech Private Limited

Insta File Manager

When it comes to storage I use my BlackBerry as a USB device. I am always carrying documents, videos, music, images, and more on the SD card and always have mass storage mode turned on. Therefore, I am always seeking out new ways to try and organize and view my files. One such way is by using a third-party app such as Insta File Manager. While BlackBerry 10 does come with its own File Manager, there is nothing wrong with having options. This application displays all of your files by category and allows for users to add tags so as to make searching for files easier. Features include multiple window support for copying, pasting, and moving files, colorful and easy to use UI, option to mark folders, as favorites and list and grid view. You can try Insta File Manager for free, though features are limited, and purchase the premium version for $1.99 in BlackBerry World.

There is something about an 8-bit game to remind us of the simpler times of gaming. League of Evil is a simple and fun platformer with over 160 levels of action. As a specially trained agent, your mission is to stop the evil mad scientists of the world. Jump, flip, fight and climb your way through all of the obstacles to punch each of these wicked individuals in the face. If you are looking for an entertaining game with throwback graphics to pass the time then this game will keep you occupied. Be warned there is a slight learning curve when using the onscreen controls. You can find League of Evil in the Amazon Appstore for $0.99.
