Pattern Lock Pro by Toysoft Development

Pattern Lock Pro

For those of you seeking a quick and easy way to lock your device with a pattern, Toysoft has this native application. Pattern Lock Pro will lock your device until you enter in the correct pattern. This pattern and a security question can be modified in settings along with how long to wait before locking (i.e. Set a timer, when screen turns off, or system reset). Due to API limitations you will be prompted to unlock before entering the pattering. DNote by duccloud

Dnote

Another graduate of the BlackBerry Beta Zone, DNote is now available in BlackBerry World. Some of you may say, why another note taking application? I love trying out the latest and greatest especially by independent developers. This to-do application gives users the ability to insert text, images, lists, files, and audio all in one place for anything you want to do. DNote can filter as you type, by title, content, image name, file name, date and time. In addition, it displays an overview of your note with short content, title, and time. Of course you can also add documents and create a list of tasks. In order to create a task list quickly, simply jot down your list and separate with a comma, semicolon, dots, and new lines. Upon saving, the list will be automatically generated. You can find this full-featured application for $1.99 for all BlackBerry 10 handsets except those running OS 10.2.1.

Bar Addiction by Aasa Studios

Bar Addiction

Going through BlackBerry World I came across this native game about monochrome bars. While the premise is a simple one, the execution is a different matter. The goal of the game is to glide your finger across the screen following the bars to fill them with vivid colors. It is not as easy as it looks because the path you follow is scrolling from top to bottom. If you miss a beat, tap on the white space, or run out of room the game is over. Basically in order to earn points you have highlight all of the bars without straying. Bar Addiction is as the name implies, you will not want to put it down. It is free to download for most BlackBerry 10 devices.

DeviceSuite Pro for BlackBerry 10 by Marcossit Dev.

DeviceSuite Pro

This particular application has been around for some time but I recently came across it in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. The latest version is now available to download in BlackBerry World and presents users with a variety of information pertaining to their device as well as a few extra features. The main screen display a plethora of information including PIN, Hardware, IMEI, model, battery information and condition, memory and free space, SIM, Network, and Radio information, and display and processor speed details. In addition to the system information, the application offers additional functionality. There is a compass, calculator, escreen code generator, password generator, Bit.ly shrink and expander, weather data, contact import and export function, emoji keyboard, and a few other options that I have run out of space for. This application supports most BlackBerry 10 devices. You can try the free version with ads or upgrade to the pro for $2.99.

Osmos HD by Hemisphere Games

Osmos HD

Going through the Amazon Appstore, I happened to come across this little game. Yes I mean little because you are a tiny particle, called a mote, that needs to absorb smaller organisms in order to grow while fending off predators and other challenges. If you haven't guessed the goal is to become the biggest organism. There is one catch though. In order to propel yourself forward you lose part of yourself and shrink in the process. There are 72 levels spanning eight worlds, the ability to play against your friends with multiplayer mode, a distinct and relaxing soundtrack, achievements, beautiful graphics, and seamless controls. You can find it for $2.99 in the Amazon Appstore.
