Howdy CrackBerry nation! I do not know about you, but the week has certainly flown by and I, for one, am looking forward to the weekend. There have been a few noteworthy announcements to speak of including an updated BBM arriving in the Beta Zone, the first look at the leather flip case for the BlackBerry Passport, confirmation that the Passport will be offered in white, and even a NY investment firm asking for their BlackBerry back over privacy concerns.

Now it is time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Thank you for an interesting list this week. I look forward to this every Friday.

Perhaps you or some else could suggest a utility that has the ability to turn Wi-Fi on and off based on location. I've looked around, but can't find anything that has that capability.

I appreciate the suggestion, but it doesn't turn off Wi-Fi, just sends a reminder notice. I can do that with a piece of paper taped to my front door.

Apparently there is no API (Application Programming Interface) for BB10 that would allow app developers to make this functionality available to us.

BlackBerry would need to release an API for devs to use or create such an app themselves.

That would be great. My Z10 battery is horrible, it's dead by around 5 or 6PM with limited use and I'm sure the wifi being on when in areas where I'm not connected doesn't help and if I turn it off manually I usually forget to turn it back on and kill my data plan. My iPhone has 60-70% battery at midnight (17hrs without a charge) and ipad mini lasts at least a few days without a charge. If you don't use the ipad for a week and turn it on, it still has 100% battery.. no BlackBerry product ever can claim this and you wouldn't dare leave a PlayBook that long without a charge in fear of it taking an hour to turn back on again. Chen is saying BlackBerry has great battery life for business users... cmon man!! Help us BlackBerry users out with some actual products that do what you say they do.

Thanks for reviewing Puzzle Alarm,
It has a bug with keyboard devices, the space gets turned to @ symbol.
The fixed version has been submitted, will fix the "normal profile" thing in the next release :)

Congrats to the review of Puzzle Alarm - I'm sure after turning this alarm finally off you're really awake. So it does a great job. :-D

Utkrash, I am using your apps puzzle alarm but I am unhappy because there is not present multiple alarm

Adding multiple alarms is risky in the sense, suppose you set too many alarms and forget.... the alarm might start ringing accidentally while u r in a meeting, etc and it takes time to turn it off. Same reason why I didnt include the repeat option. If people want that, I have no problem in adding it.

It would be nice to have a nap function - for instance, set the alarm 25 minutes from now, without erasing my normal morning alarm time.

BTW - I'm very excited about this app! I used puzzd on the old blackberries, and I've been waiting for a long time for something like this on BB10! Thank you!!

I am assuming that u r talking abt the bug where some of the songs are not recognized ?
That is not a problem in coding from my side. Its the way the runtime handles those files. If the runtime cant see/process those files, they wont get imported into the app. If I try using some other mechanism, the equalizer wont work. So only those files that the runtime is able to recognize and decode into frequency spectrum (the visualizer) get imported. My apologies. BB controls that part of programming, not me.

Hope this wakes me up literally in the morning when i have to report at 6am. I suggest that you keep the lines longer, like maybe 5 at the least. That would surely get me up. Or make it a picture puzzle of at least 20 pcs.lol..or is that in the pro version? Great app! Thanks! =)

Z10 user Z30 dreamer

I can include more puzzles and custom texts too if I get a good response... math puzzles, pictures etc can be easily implemented :)

No the pro version does not have it right now

Puzzle alarm is fine but I remember an application as "Puzzed". It was a brilliant app with much more options. But now I'm not able to find it on bbworld.

Get all those popular Apps from Android and IOS, make it a BB10 App or improve all the bugs we getting from the APK or BAR downloads. I love BlackBerry device but it's like driving Ferrari without Stereo system or Power seats!!!!!

I think in my opinion for BlackBerry to success and have a chance be competitive once again is improve improve improve x 1000000 times on their Apps.

To point out something very true is that the ONLY reason BlackBerry devices were biggest in the market share once because people was able to use Push mails and BBM. I guarantee you it's not the devices Specifications......

Later on IOS try many IM and fails and finally came up with Whats App now LINE, and also able to use push Mails everyone start to give up BlackBerry devices and the starts of BlackBerry downfall begins.....‎

BB device is like a Ferrari WITHOUT power car seats or a radio....properly like buying a Ferrari with no air conditioning......
