BlackBerry App Roundup for July 11, 2014

A weekly look at new, exciting, and cool apps to try
By Alicia Erlich on 11 Jul 2014 07:01 pm EDT

Howdy CrackBerry nation! It's been a mighty fine week here for BlackBerry what with the BBM Private Beta rolling out for Windows Phone users, the BlackBerry Q10, Q5, and Z30 earning Red Dot design awards, and, of course, reasons why the Passport is the device for you. All in all, not bad if I do say so myself.

We all know you are here to see what this week's picks are so let's get back to the show shall we. Each app or game can be seen by clicking through the gallery. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Video Shrinker for BB10 should be featured, helps you to get those Story Maker vids under the BBM file size limit.

Nice! I like the layout of this article. Always looking forward to your picks Alicia!

I like the concept of Pizzino. I would give it a shot but I've few friends/contacts remaining with BB devices and fewer still that warrant a need for the expiring messages.

I see you too had to cut the plastic above your charging ports on your otterbox commuter case. Such an awful design flaw...

Can anyone make a app that can filter out all the adult content in the browser and app stoore...It will be more easier for people who have that they won't access the adult content.i don't like the less parental control features in bb10

Love the name "Pizzini"... has a historical background (looking at the name of the most certainly Italian Dev...:-)

During the huge Mafia Trials in Sicily in the 90's they discovered that the big Mafia bosses communicated only on little handwritten notes, post-it size, transmitted by the "lil' guys" in the organization and they pledged to destroy them immediately after reading... but one kept them and so thousands of the notes, so called "Pizzini" in Sicilian, came up during the trials...

Basically the plot / Business Plan for Snapchat or similar... ;-) I am sure that one of these Mafia bosses could claim IP in an American court and get compensation for "stealing their idea"... ;-D

So the name has nothing to do with Pizza... ;-)

I use IMDB a lot as well, but Search for IMDB requires an in-app purchase to remove ads. Just passing that along so no one is surprised.
