Howdy CrackBerry nation! Another week has passed so you know what that means? Not only is it time to share with you another batch of apps for your BlackBerry 10 or Priv smartphone, but it's also time to catch up on all the news that transpired since we last met.

Starting things off this week was a brand new episode of the BerryFlow Podcast, where James, Chris, and Alex discussed several topics including the new Great Apps on BlackBerry, the Priv and Passport discounts through ShopBlackBerry, and the BlackBerry and Canon patent licensing agreement. Also, we saw a thorough review of the BlackBerry Priv Leather Flip case courtesy of our own DJ Reyes.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all you passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite didn't make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

My Digi Cat by Marco Gallo

My Digi Cat

For those of you who are fans of Tamagotchi digital pets, look no further than this virtual pet caring game. My Digi Cat is a BlackBerry 10 game where you can take care of a friendly and cute feline. The developer has been diligently and patiently working on this game for a while, and I am amazed at the final result.

With My Digi Cat, not only can you care for your cat, which includes feeding, washing, and cuddling, but you can also play several games with him. These include "chase the mouse," "jump the rope," and "room adventures." Additional features include unlocking a wardrobe to dress your cat and choosing between three different cats to take care of.

Whether you want to relive your youth or share the fun with your children, My Digi Cat is probably the cutest game for the entire family.

You can find it for $1.99 in BlackBerry World for all BlackBerry 10 handsets.

Profiles by DVN Digital

Profiles

When you think of profile apps, simply changing the notification profiles (i.e. Normal and silent) are the first things to come to mind. However, Profiles by DVN Digital goes one step further. Rather than just focus on notifications, users can change their wallpaper, notification profile, and hide files all with a simple tap.

With Profiles, you can create multiple records and switch between them, password protect the app to keep your profiles and files secure from prying eyes, and change the home screen and lock screen separately.

You can purchase Profiles by DVN Digital in BlackBerry World for $1.99.

Promo Codes – Support Devs by Jack Underwood

Promo Codes

Looking to find a few good Google Apps for free? Promo Codes is a new service designed to give developers a place to not only advertise their apps but an outlet to give you a chance to win it for free.

As of now, there are only a few apps included in this promotion, and you should not expect to win often. Promo Codes randomly refreshes every twelve hours with a new app from a participating developer. All you have to do is tap on the "I'm Feeling Lucky" Button to see if you've won a code to redeem in Google Play.

While the odds of winning are low, you are redirected to the Google Play link of the featured application if you lose if you choose to purchase the app.

MARVEL Avengers Academy by TinyCo

MARVEL Avengers Academy

With all the Marvel characters hitting the big and small screen, what better way to pass the time than by training their younger selves and helping them to develop their unique abilities? This is the premise behind Avengers Academy, which happens to be run by S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury.

The first order of business is to recruit new heroes. All of your favorite characters are represented such as Iron Man, Loki, Wasp, Thor, Black Widow and Captain America. However, these are not the representations you are used to seeing. It is interesting to see each character portrayed as young adults with all of the social interactions, cliques, and campus life it entails.

So that your newly recruited Avengers can combat Hydra and build the Academy, various missions based on their capabilities need to be completed. This is accomplished by selecting an action to perform, choosing your character, waiting for the Avenger to complete the mission, and then collecting the coins and XP. Some missions are relatively easy and quick to perform while others require you to wait sometimes up to an hour or more. They can range from building Stark Tower and various clubs to helping Loki improve his reputation and expanding the Academy's campus.

What I enjoy is how they've written the banter between the characters, the eye-catching graphics, and the chance to see your favorite Marvel heroes reimagined as high school students. There are in-app purchases to aid in completing the different quests.

You can download MARVEL Avengers Academy for free in Google Play.
