Howdy CrackBerry nation! Not only is this the end of the week but it's also early into a brand new month. The only reason I mention that small fact is that this means we are even closer to the launch of the BlackBerry Classic. Less than two weeks remain until the launch and I am certainly looking forward to it. Also notable this week are the unboxing videos of the White and Red BlackBerry Passport.

Now it is time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Phone Tag by Toysoft Development

Over the years, I'm sure we all accumulated a vast array of phone numbers in our contact list. Some of these numbers we use on a regular basis while others are ones we only use every now and again. For business users who prefer not to clutter up their address book or wish to keep their personal work contacts separate there is this simple and effective productivity tool. It allows users the ability to tag calls, essentially separating them from the contacts application, but still granting them the option to call, text, and email them later. For instance, if you send or receive a call to an unknown number you can tag and save the contact within the application, including email address). From here, you can leave the contact in the application or have the choice of saving to the contacts application. There are additional options including a backup or restore and integration with BlackBerry Maps and Google Maps. If there are contacts who you do not wish to add to your address book but still wish to communicate with then this comes in handy for $1.99 for BlackBerry 10.

Gazzet by Justin Mitchell

Recently a brand new social feeds, and news reader hit the storefront. This minimalistic app, offers a convenient way of catching up on all your news from Twitter and Reddit. I have to say this is a promising start by the developer who is working on incorporating Feedly, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Hub Integration and Notifications into the application. For now, Gazzet is a native application that is beautiful laid out with animations and gestures. For instance, with a quick swipe over a particular tweet you can reply, favorite and retweet. In addition, by going into the side menu you can sort by popularity or time and refresh your feed. The application is $1.99 to purchase for BlackBerry 10. I am certainly looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Unolingo by Equazi Enterprises LLC

If you cannot tell by now, I tend to get obsessed over puzzle games. One game that I discovered in the Amazon Appstore is Unolingo. Dubbed as crosswords without clues it is a rather difficult and frustrating game whereby you are presented with a 10x 10 grid without clues and 26 empty squares with which you must precisely place each letter in the alphabet, once and only once. There are four difficulty levels and 160 puzzles to choose from, and it takes time and patience to be able to complete the puzzle. It's fun, frustrating, and at times extremely challenging. Unolingo can be purchased for $4.99.

GoodPlayer Pro by Hustmobile Inc.

Going through the forums, I came across this application and saw how a member worked with the developer on bringing it to the BlackBerry platform. So I thought I would give it a spin being that I have several videos on my device going back years. This Android port gives users the features, including playback for various formats, which comes with the standard player as well as extra capabilities not normally found. Once you point the application to the appropriate video folders on your device or SD card it wills can your library and add all compatible files to the list (i.e. Files that are DRM protected will not load). GoodPlayer also sports a built-in UPnP client, folder playback support, support for Blu-Ray pgs and mkv embedded subtitles, DVD .iso playback, a WebDAV client, streaming playback, and HTTP and HTTPS support. There is a free version with ads and a paid version without ads for $4.99 that supports all BlackBerry 10 devices running OS 10.2.1 and higher.
