New CrackBerry.com Website Launcher
We've recently launched a new and improved CrackBerry.com website launcher for your Berry! A big 'thank you' has to go out to our friend Fabian Heuwieser, as he whipped this up as a holiday gift for 'CrackBerry Nation'. However, this latest version is much more than a simple shortcut. Pop it open, and you can decide where you want to go, as the app integrates the main site navigation. It's simple, and easy to use.

Storm owners: make sure you disable compatibility mode!
Loopt Now Available on the Storm
The folks at Loopt have been busy as of late updating their app for multiple devices. Just recently they made a new version available for all of the Storm users out there!
If you're a BlackBerry Storm owner, now you can take advantage of all of the features that Loopt has to offer. You can discover nearby places and events by perusing detailed information from Zagat, Citysearch and the Loopt community. Or you can see where your friends are on maps and view their latest updates listed in real-time. You can also Check In to instantly share updates with friends across your favorite social networks, like Facebook and Twitter. Best of all, Loopt on the BlackBerry Storm runs in the background, which allows you to update your location in real-time while you are on the move, even when the Loopt application is not running in the foreground.

Fandango for BlackBerry Now Available
New to BlackBerry earlier this week, the Fandango app is now readily available. Two versions are available, one for trackball devices and one for touchscreen devices. Use it to browse movies and showtimes, theatres, purchase tickets, and a lot more. If you give it a spin be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments.
Kayak for BlackBerry Updated
Kayak is a handy app that lets you compare prices on hotels and airfares from multiple lodgings and airlines. If you're already on this one, you may want to update as it has gone to version 1.0.14. A new UI is in place, and the searches have been beefed-up, among other things.

Gym Technik for the Storm
With a new year just around the corner, it may be time to purchase that gym membership or piece of workout equipment... (only to give up on the gym 1 month in and use the equipment to hang your clothes on from February on). Seriously though, if you want an awesome app to help you get the most of your workouts, Gym Technik is for you. A new version of the app has just come out for the original Storm. Unfortunately the app doesn't seem to jive nicely with OS 5, but the folks over there are working hard on this for a Storm2/OS5 release sometime in January. If you're on the original Storm, you can pick up this new version of NextGen and make use of the following features:
- Build workouts and schedule a routine on the NextGen calendar
- Start and track workouts (Regular workouts, Circuit workouts, and Cardio workouts)
- Enter and track body stats such as weight, and body size measurements
- Upload before/after photos of yourself from your BlackBerry
- Sync NextGen on your BlackBerry with your Online account

AppClock

The Battery Charging Screensaver is a simple screensaver that shows the charging status of your battery... just like on the iPhone. WoWBerry
World of Warcraft junkies have a new utility to load up onto their Berry's... WoWBerry is a WoW Realm Status checker. Check to see if a realm is up or down, what the population is, and what type of realm it is. You can also use it to view detailed character information, using info from the micro armory. Handy for checking info while away from your desktop, WoWBerry should work just fine on all non-touchscreen BlackBerry devices running OS 4.2 or newer.

I might have missed the boat here with the Christmas shopping season having drawn to a close... But hey, there are still the HUGE boxing day blowouts all over the place to hit up.
