Howdy CrackBerry nation! Hope you all enjoyed your week, which happened to just fly by since last time. This week we saw updates to several applications including Talk2Watch Pro, ReadItNow!, BBM beta, and a new WatchDox App for Enterprise. There was also the introduction of the Amazon Underground for free apps, and even a campaign by T-Mobile for BlackBerry users. Not bad if I do say so myself.

Now it's time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game I've rustled up for you by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Angry Birds POP Bubble Shooter by Rovio Entertainment Ltd.

Angry Birds Pop!

For fans of bubble shooter games, and who can forget Bubble Birds, comes the latest in the Angry Birds franchise. However, while this is a classic bubble shooter, Rovio puts their own unique twist on it. Your goal is to 'pop' your way through the puzzles, using your slingshot of course, to topple pigs, save critters, solve puzzles, and earn power-ups. There are plenty of levels to keep you occupied, each one more challenging that the last. Being this is Angry Birds the graphics are crisp and smooth as always and there is a ton of physics flinging fun to be had. You can download Angry Birds Pop Bubble Shooter through Snap.

Poweramp by Max MP

Poweramp

No matter what task I am working on or where I may be traveling there is always music playing in the background. Going through the forums I came across this full featured music player for Android (yes it is a port). It plays various music files, offers a 10 band optimized graphical equalizer, lyric support (if available), custom visual skins, playlists, and an option to edit tags. A free 15-day trial is available by downloading it from Snap. The full version unlocker is $3.99. Please note you have to have both the free version and the unlocker installed. I purchased the unlocker through Google Play and then installed via Snap on my BlackBerry Passport with no issue.

VOT-TTS by Shaishad

VOT - TTS

Going through my BBM chats, I was sent this application available in BlackBerry World. It may be simple but it performs a handy function, which is to translate text to speech. While it does not possess all of the bells and whistles found in similar applications (you are limited to only 5 languages at the moment), it does get the job done. All users have to do is select the gender of the voice, the language, input the text in the box, and tap on 'speak out'. VOT-TTS can be purchased for $0.99 for BlackBerry 10 and is native. Please note it does require an internet or Wi-Fi connection in order to generate the speech.

QuickSearch Browser by Rigel1

QuickSearch

On another trip through our forums, I found this web browser specifically built for searching the web. As I tend to be glued to my phone throughout the day, be it for personal or business reasons, I do find myself searching the web for various items and topics. QuickSearch aims to make this process easier by saving a few clicks and keystrokes. When you launch the application there are several search engines, social networks, and news sites at your fingertips. Users may simply enter in the search term and tap on the desired site or they can just tap on the site itself to launch the engine. Results can be shown within the application or set to open in the native BlackBerry Browser. There are additional options by swiping down and going into settings. Another feature is the use of keywords. Next to each search engine is a letter or letters. By typing in these keywords then your term it will automatically bring up the results within that particular search engine. QuickSearch Browser is a native application available for $1.99 in BlackBerry World.

TinTing - Every hour by ltdangkhoa

TinTing

A suggestion from one of our readers, this native application brings back the old style clocks which rang on the hour every hour. While simple, it lets users know the current time via sound, LED light, vibration, and instant previews. Not only can you set the timer for every hour but using the drop down you can adjust the cycle from 1 minute to up to 4 hours. The application is free to download but in order to access and unlock additional features, such as theme style, vibration, LED color and silent time, there is an in-app purchase of $0.99. You can download for free from BlackBerry World.
