Howdy CrackBerry nation! Another week has flown by and it sure has been a busy one on the blogs. If you haven't already, be sure to enter to win some back-to-school accessories from ShopCrackBerry in the form of a $50 gift certificate. Nothing wrong with gearing up for the new year and that is the perfect way to get you started. Also this week it was announced that BlackBerry and 7digital came to terms on a new music arrangement for their users. Last, but certainly not least, the Mobile Nations Community Update for August was posted and I just have to give a congratulatory shout-out to our own pkcable as being volunteer of the month! As Mod Team Leader and Ambassador extraordinaire he gives his all each and every day to help everyone.

Now it is time to bring you this week's picks for all your passionate BlackBerry addicts out there. You can find each app and game by clicking through the gallery below. If your favorite did not make the cut this week, remember you can help by offering your suggestions at the end.

Anyone already have it and neutron can comment on how they compare in terms of sound quality? I like the smart playlists if it's what I think it is...

The reviews are weird. It's like all 5 star reviews, but the newest few are one-star and they claim the equalizer doesn't change anything...

I have Neutron, and it's great, well worth the money. I reckon you can't go wrong with it.

 BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! 

Its equalizer and sound quality amazed me (to avoid the over-used phrase "blew me away"). Miles better than the stock player.

You can create as many custom profiles as you want, then tune the heck out of them to suit your taste and the music genre you're listening to.

If you would, please check out the VoipSyght app. It's a companion app for those users with voip.ms accounts. It provides the ability to manage your voip.ms account (call history, account balance, call forwarding, call blocking, etc.

Thanks!!!

Hmm... instead of this no. 123 competition is anyone is going to come out with better app recommendations then the reviewed one? Or their positive or negative personal experience with those apps ?

I just gave this Moon Player a try and wouldn't buy again. The android port runs fluent I have to admit, and I like the 3d animations between some screens, might be that this is standard on android but I would like to see this kind more on native apps.

I was using the app with a Sennheiser HD 25-1 II. In contrary to the author I tried everything to get the equalizer do something but nothing ever happened. I had the same experience with Shuffle+ which was free on Amazon some time ago. Maybe this is because of ports.

What is handy is the option of seeing folders. But I find it strange that the main navigation is on top which is again Android, I prefer to have it down like bb10 so you see the screen.

Last but not least there is no active frame.

Without eq I couldn't recognize a sound quality difference to the native music player by BB.

And concerning the auto download of missing artwork, it does download but quite often I had completely wrong artwork added, so this can get confusing, especially when you have older albums on your device, eg copies of your good old CDs.

The Stopwatch app looks pretty neat; but, I'd like to see a Timer app with a similar layout. It would be useful if each event could be named from a clipboard of commonly timed events.

Thanks Alicia.

The stopwatch looks cool but I've never needed more than one. However, I could use a multiple timer function when cooking.

Check out "Sugar Sugar" in BB World, fantastic game that is well worth the. 99 cents. Great roundup for the week!

I really want some more info on tresorit. There are mixed reviews on it. Anyone have personal experience with it and would you recommend over box and or dropbox. Sound off.....
