Check 'em out! BlackBerry Developers Conference Registration Now Open
The BlackBerry Developers Conference is open for early registrations! I know many a developer reads the weekly roundup, so I only felt it fitting to include it at the top. This years' conference will take place November 9-12 in San Fran. There's going to be a lot to see and do... and a lot of industry contacts to meet and greet... and have a few drinks with :) Note: If you register before September 18th, you'll save $200. PLUS, if you attended either WES 2009 or last years dev con, you'll get an extra $100 off! For all the details head on over to the BlackBerry Developers Conference Website.
The Student Starter Pack
It's time for students around the world to start prepping for the upcoming school year. With that in mind, the folks at studentstarterpack.com have a new Student Starter Pack up for grabs. For $29.99 students will receive three pretty darn good apps for BlackBerry. Student Docket is a great organizer for help managing assignments and classes... Cram is a study aid/tool... and Podtrapper is a very nice download manager and podcast player. All useful tools for the student with Berry-on-hip. For more info head on over to studentstarterpack.com
TipCalc
New from ToySoft, TipCalc is one of the best looking and feature rich tip calculators I've seen for BlackBerry to date. Use it to calculate tips of any %, split bills any which way you choose, see what tip totals are for each person at your table... The list of features goes on and on. We're also currently running a contest for this app in which we're giving away 100 copies for free. All you have to do is hit up this post and leave a comment. That's it... do it and you're entered! The contest ends this coming Sunday at midnight PST. For more, you can check out TipCalc in our store. If you want to purchase, it's only $0.99.
LaunchPad
New from Tafasa, LaunchPad is an awesome little app that lets you create a launcher for any and all of your website favorites! It works quite simply. Enter the name and address of the website you want to create a launcher for, and choose an icon (the app will try and locate a favicon) from your Berry. Super easy... and kind of handy. Note: In order to run this one you'll need at least OS 4.6. You can pick up LaunchPad for $0.99 until August 15th. After that, the price jumps up to $1.99.
Ubertwitter Beta 4 Now Available
For all the Twitter-eens out there, Ubertwitter Beta 4 is now available. The very popular Twitter client for BlackBerry now includes multiple account support, faster photo uploads, and the ability to block users, among other things. For all the details and to download you can head on over to Ubertwitter.com from your device.
New This WeekPhotoColor!
Want to create some awesome looking pictures right from your BlackBerry? Enter PhotoColor! PhotoColor allows you to create great looking pictures in two easy steps. First, your image is converted to black and white. Then, all you need to do is restore color to the original image by touching the screen wherever you want. You can see an example in the image above, I think it illustrates how this one works. Pretty clear, right? Of course, this one is available for the Storm only.
PhotoColor! is available for $2.99 until August 22nd. You can pick it up at ShopCrackBerry.com right now >

It really does look awesome. It will be great for business lunch meetings. Thanks for promoting it.
Great job on this application. We are starting to see a lot of better quality applications starting to pop up at reasonable prices. I know I have my copy!

I tried Didiom before and it never really worked right. I wonder if anybody else was having any better luck.

...so the server and the group never gets gypped again!
Never mind
I was getting the 500 error when trying to download it from App Store, and as well as the email link I had sent to myself. But I was able to download in Blackberry App World. Looks like a neat program, and I hope it helps with my travels.
Go here and get the app!
www.ProOnGo.com
I d/l it and took a pic of the receipt but it just keeps displaying "(Reading...)" and never reads....
Please drop us a quick line at support@ProOnGo.com if the receipts never read (it takes a few minutes). A specific error message is very helpful for support.
Most users are reporting success, even though this is a beta.
Also, make sure you go to www.ProOnGo.com to get the latest version. Thanks!
but I really want a GREAT app that people love for a freebie for one week. Not expecting like quicklaunch or tetherberry, but a truly addictive game or something that will make going on every friday worth it! I want something really cool to show off and say i got it for free
I couldnt get ProOnGo to work. Keeps trying to go online and then locks up requiring a battery pull. This is also just in beta form. Deleting the program.
It can take several minutes to read receipts, depending on how good your internet connection is. Just keep using the ProOnGo to take pics of other receipts, and you'll see the older receipts automatically read (hopefully better than typing).
And yes, just download straight from www.ProOnGo.com. We'll check to see what is wrong with the ShopCrackBerry download.
If you still have problems, just send an e-mail to support@ProOnGo.com

This article led me to believe Didiom worked with Mac. It doesn't. It is PC only. Disappointing.
does some one know where i can find this thing for my blackberry where put stuff on my desktop?
does some one know where i can find this thing for my blackberry where put stuff on my desktop?
It works quite well for my 8900
This will be great on my new Tour which I will be getting September 1st, God willing.
thank you,
I recommend upgrading to the latest version of ProOnGo Expense today at www.ProOnGo.com. The latest version contains a lot of bug fixes\\feature requests from customers (you can send requests straight from ProOnGo from the \'Help and Support\' menu item).
ProOnGo is also looking to sign up people for a private beta if they need to fax expense reports. The new fax feature will allow you to fax expenses straight from your phone to a fax machine. Please contact support@ProOnGo.com for more info.
One tip: in BlackBerry options, ProOnGo Expense (and other apps you trust) will run a lot more smoothly if you Edit your BlackBerry options\\permissions to \'Allow\' ProOnGo.
