BlackBerry Alert: February 20th BIS Problems?!

WOW...Now this is getting ridiculous. Many BlackBerry users on the BIS (myself included) are reporting difficulties in receiving emails this morning. It seems so far that only email has been affected, but the problem does span across multiple carriers. The first report of problems came in during the night (3am). Will bring more news as it comes in, but in the meantime you can stay on top of the discussion in the CrackBerry Forums.

Update from the forums, 9:40am CST...

"I just spoke to my AT&T Biz Care Rep. He said that there was an issue with Provisioning on RIM's Behalf, but the problem was corrected. Emails should slowly start to arrive as BIS now has a ton of emails in que for delivery."

Thank you for reporting this. Good job! I think I've pulled the battery half a dozen times this morning. It is getting quite ridiculous. It is causing issues with my instant messaging, email, and google sync.


So is this possibly related to why my BB has been weirdly restarting when I send emails? I wiped and reloaded the OS last night to remedy but to no avail.


Thank the lord the UK hasn't been affected by this!?

audit was on top of it from the start of it and will continue to stay on top of the outage or any other future outages.


My emails were delayed by at least 3 hours. I thought something was going on that was odd. I hope this doesn't happen again. Three times in 10 months...not good.


Given their inability to keep it up (and running) these days my old exchange server account is looking better and better with my old WinMobile phone. Say it isn't so RIM, say it isn't so.


I don't care if BIS is down 1 day a month! My BB is still the best phone on the market!
