During BlackBerry World 2012 we managed to grab an interview with Meridith Valiando, Co-Founder of DigiTour to speak to her about her BlackBerry use. Being a music tour promoter, Meridith makes use of her BlackBerry a lot and as such, she was asked to particitate in the recent BlackBerry BeBold Campaigns. Check out the video above to learn what she loves about BlackBerry, her first device and more.

pretty cool interview, although these interviews with people who use blackberry when asked the question whats your fave app, you can see the effects of app shortage as everyone pauses for that question

Tariq.H

haha i guess thats kinda true

springbok

LOL! I'd be hard pressed to say on the spot what my fave app is. I think they all get asked that so the CrackBerry app can be plugged, an app which I use every day, so I guess that makes it my fave app! xD

BB_Bmore

I'd like to add her to bbm ;)

she doesn't have time for bbm; she's busy writing a thousand emails a day!

I'd love to be asked what my "favorite app" is. My reply? Apps are overrated. For me, it's about email and security.

buffandsweet33

she looks good! i see her face down the mcarthur causeway into south beach on a huge blackberry billboard on side of a building!!

I remember when I used a Blackberry for many years. Then I got my iPhone 4S. If you are typing that many emails a day you should be using Siri to respond to them. Siri is faster and you can compose while driving or as thoughts come up without looking.

Also who is typing 1,000 emails a day from their BB? If you guess that she spends 20 seconds (this would be extremely fast) reading and replying to 500 of them while the other 500 are just new emails (which would likely generate 500 more emails back to her) which take ,say, 10 seconds a piece (again super fast), she would spend over four hours typing on her BB. I call BS.

If she is a real professional many emails take minutes to read and many more minutes to formulate a thought and respond to it due to the fact it is written communication (can offend if not worded right, have legal ramifications, etc) . If you receive 500 or even type 1,000 emails a day and then type a response other than "yup" it would likely take days sorting, filing, writing, and responding to that volume. Not saying it is impossible, just not likely.

I wonder how many of the original group of Blackberry testimonial people are now using iPhone?

When someone says they have "a million things to do today", do you literally think they have that many things to do?

Siri is nice if you have something easy and quick for a reply, just like using Vlingo, but if you have to edit, good luck!

Siri, tell the gentleman with greasy fingers that professionals prefer to COMPOSE (as in elaborate a thoughtful reply) an email instead of dictate short answers to an unreliable speech recognition system.

Usless "interview" ! This "cute" girl does not know what to say and the interviewer is putting his words into her mouth all the time ! Total failure !

My favorite app? The PHYSICAL keyboard!!!

It saves time like no other app...and makes all the other apps work so much nicer.

C'mon RIM... even Android users are longing for a blackberry style keyboard.

berrybait

There will be BB10 phones with keyboards. Just not the first one.
