This Week's BlackBerry Accessory Feature: BlackBerry Music Gateway

BlackBerry Music Gateway

BlackBerry users don't immediately think "music" when firing up their device, but lets face it, most of us want it all in one place so we don't have to carry extra devices. Playing music on your BlackBerry may be annoying at first, but once you get it squared away you can rock out anytime you want with the help of some great accessories. The coolest (and one of my long time favorites) is the BlackBerry Music Gateway. This nifty little accessory lets you stream your music via Bluetooh to external speakers so you can jam almost anywhere. I use it in my house connected to an external speaker, and can carry around my device in my pocket without worrying about having to go to a specific spot in the house to change the track or volume. I've even managed to get it working in my car so I can bring my music on the go.

The BlackBerry Music Gateway just needs a charge from your Mini USB charger. Unfortunately it isn't included with the device, but if you have an older model BlackBerry you should have one laying around. You can always grab one from our store that will get the job done as well.

If you're at all a music listener, you should really explore just what you can do with a BlackBerry to stream your music. If you want to load it up with MP3's just grab an SD card, load it up and you're good to go. If you want to save on space, you can stream right from Pandora or Slacker and tweak each to your liking. No longer do you need to haul around an MP3 player along with your BlackBerry to have your music on the go.

BlackBerry Accessory Roundup Music Edition: Win a BlackBerry Music Gateway

These devices are phenomenal and work with the utmost clarity and I would love one and suggest it to all BlackBerry users!!

You said in the article that you were able to make it work in your car. That's great. Since they keep changing all the rules about what you can and can't do with your device while driving it warms me Heart and Soul to know that this little wonder may once again make my Blackberry car friendly. You are a trailblazer. Thanks.

One of the reasons I bought a Storm 2 was because of its incredible music capabilities. I downloaded my favorite 1,000 or so sounds to the device and purchased a Motorola Rocker wireless headphone set. The sound quality is phenominal! I use it while doing yardwork, running, biking and other chores. I can make or receive phone calls directly to the headset without ever pulling my phone from it's holster and the music starts and stops automatically. Streaming Pandora is great too! I hate wires so plugging in my phone to the car stereo is a drag. This little device would make it simple to get the same experience from my car or home steroe as I do from my Rocker headphones.

I could definately use something like this at work. I work in the warehousing part of a retail store and we're not allowed to plug our phones into the receiver so this would be a great shortcut around that.

.....between my Peterbilt, my Jeep and my house. But using this in my Pete would simplify my driving so much. Please oh Please Crackberry, I would LOVE to win this.

I had no idea this was used for that!!! Crazy!! I've been searching for thiss plzz mee, I've been with yall 1 year and 6 days going strong, I'll never give up

I don't know why I don't have one of these already, I've been looking at it for over a year now. Would be amazing to win this! I always have my BB hooked up to my stereo thru wires. Between my music, Pandora, Slacker, thumbplay, and XM, I'm rarely able to keep my BlackBerry in my pants. Lol. I miss calls and messages for hours at a time. Would be nice to have my BB on my side and listen to music still via the bluetooth. Pleas pick me. Go Crackberry, I love you guys!

And let's not forget how annoying it is to be rocking out to an epic tune and the BAM! Everything stops so you can hear an alert blare thru your system. Hahaha. That's why I forget my BB is in silent half the time.

I've had my eye on this since I first spotted it a week or two ago. If I don't win it, I think I'm going to have to buy one. One of the best accessories I've seen.

I have the gateway that i gave my dad, i used to have the sony on here and I cannot believe the altec lansing backbeat is not listed as it is the best stereo headset i've ever used.

Techboy1980 writes yes oh god yes and wins it??wow hookay that makes no since whatsoever..well no I know not to waste my time anymore.EBay here I come!
