BKU put their Built for BlackBerry apps on sale - get them while they're hot!

BKU app sale
By James Richardson on 22 Oct 2013 01:23 pm EDT

One of BlackBerry 10's most successful developers - BKU Software - has decided to be rather generous and put all of there 'Built for BlackBerry' applications on sale from today - Tuesday October 22nd, until Sunday October 27th. The discounts range from 50% to 60%!

While we would normally just include these type of announcements in our 'CrackBerry app bargains of the week', the ones from BKU will be very familiar to you if you have been a CrackBerry follower for some time. In fact - I'd go as far as to say that a couple of them are possibly in the top ten best BlackBerry 10 apps out there - all with continued updates and support.

You can grab the discounted applications from the links below:

SayIt: $1.99 $4.99

SafeDrive: $1.99 $3.99

SuperNote: $0.99 $1.99

MagicCam: $0.99 $1.99

If you haven't tried out the above now may be the perfect time to do so?

Not buying SayIt because I'm not huge on VC and more is confirmed coming for 10.2 in that department anyway.

BUT, nothing of the functionality that SafeDrive provides is coming in 10.2 right?

Someone answer before I shell out $2. :D

Grabbing it now. I wonder if I can use this for my BlackBerry z10 now and reinstall it on z30

Any idea?

I am using all kind of apps I bought for the Z10 on my Q10. World of goo is the only one that did not show up. Since screen resolution and aspect ratio are almost equal between the Z10 and the Z30, I'd say even less of a hassle!
To cut it short: buying an app will buy you the right to download the app on any device as long as the dev releases it for the new device, which is very likely.

I do it all the time between my Playbook and Z10. As long as both devices are linked to the same bbid and the app is available on both, you should be good to go.

On that note, I've found that I have two Accuweather apps and two Slacker apps on my Z10...when I downloaded the BB10 versions, I didn't realize I already had the PlayBook versions already on the Z10.

Anyone know if Sayit put a mic or menu prompt to do speech to text from the text message app?

Posted via CB10

Not a menu or mic option but you can share speech to text results in SMS, BBM, etc.

Lol! Wanna sell SayIt for $4.99? Noone wants to buy it so they must give a discount, anyway I'm not interested in their apps anymore coz of bad support.

I was going to buy Sayit a week ago. I am going to buy it now.

I've been using SayIt for about a week. It is useful once you understand it's strengths and weaknesses. It is very funny when you use it that way. The translator is awesome and search is fast and pretty darn smart. One of my favorite tools is word definition.

Save your money. The first two on the list are completely useless / garbage. They do not work....not even rarely. Sayit is a poor excuse to pass off as a Siri type assistant. It knows nothing, when you ask it anything.

You have been warned.
