Back in March, BlackBerry opened the doors to BES12 Cloud for all enterprises as well as small and medium-sized organizations who wished to sign up for the services and today, they've announced some updates to the cloud offerings that bring expanded multi-OS capabilities to support customers looking to manage mobile devices across a range of deployment models, from BYOD to COPE.
On the Android front, the latest version of BES12 Cloud introduces Samsung KNOX Workspace, which allows end-users to manage Samsung KNOX enabled devices (devices running Android 4.4 and later) such as Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets in a Work/Personal mode as well as Workspace-only mode.
This release also supports Android™ for Work (AfW), which enables platform-level separation of business and personal data, and allows any application to run securely in the work side of the device without the need for application wrapping.
For customers deploying iPads and iPhones within their organization, BES12 Cloud now offers support for the Apple® Device Enrollment Program (DEP), which simplifies enrollment of corporate-issued iOS devices. Administrators can enable supervised controls over-the-air to manage large deployments of devices.
BES12 Cloud offers easy management of iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry 10 smartphones and tablets, as well as a wide range of Samsung KNOX and Android for Work smartphones and tablets. A free 30 day trial of BES12 Cloud is offered and includes full access to the complete BES12 platform.
