SNT Group UK adopt BES10 as their mobile computing platform of choice

We all know that BlackBerry 10 is the most secure mobile platform and BES10 has certainly been growing over the past few months. We've seen some big organizations and government agencies make the commitment and who can blame them.

BlackBerry have released the above video detailing why SNT Group have chosen BES10 as their platform of choice. I'm not going to go into any great detail as the video is pretty self explanatory, but once again it's a fantastic sign that companies still see the potential and values that BlackBerry has to offer. And of course - companies don't only have to have their work force using BlackBerry smartphones as iOS and Android support is there too with BES10.

You'll also see that SNT have teamed up with EE. With EE providing the biggest 4G LTE coverage in the UK (and growing monthly) this sure won't do the network any harm. The only things I'll comment on regarding EE is that they seem to not have many BlackBerry 10 handsets listed on their website for consumers (Q5 only) - yet on their business plans there are a choice of three. What's that all about EE?

Wow very nice video.

More of these needed. And I hope chen makes a very nice appearance in the following stages.

Now the leaks are gone so let's hope for the best that is under work in progress.

This is great. Didn't know BES10 could manage Android and IOS devices.

I work for Caterpillar as a Territory Manager and effective December 10th all BlackBerry 10 users within the company stopped receiving corporate email because according to the IT Manager it was not safe to use Microsoft Exchange to sync our email since they have not invested on the BES10 platform. On the BlackBerry 7 platform they do have the BES platform but not for BlackBerry 10 because according to them facts and data investigation says that the population of IOS and Android devices is very high in comparison with BlackBerry 10 devices.

long story short, we stopped receiving corporate email. I think this is not good as I don't like android nor ios for my travelling basis.

They are using lotus traveller and air watch but after trying to side load those for my z10 running 10.2.1055 it simply didn't work. There is an air watch app for bb10, but it won't work because of the las of the BES10 SERVER.

I'll show this video to the IT Manager at CAT for him to understand that BES is the best way to go.

I'm very frustrated with this decision of not investing in bb10.

Your IT department didn't know BES10 was cross platform EMM?
Hmmm...send them this as well:

henrickrw

They are idiots.. Let me send this to them right now...

NamelessStar

your company uses active sync and says bb10 is not secure vs android and ios is total bs i do many things for different companies in IT active sync on all 3 fall short vs BES10. Ive set up quite a few BES10 servers to make people realize the corporate security it gives is so much better.

BBPandy

Didn't BlackBerry offer free upgrades to BES10 for current BES users? I believe that deal has been going on all year & expires January 1st

So the only cost that CAT would incur would be the time it takes for the IT guys to set up the new servers & switching over to them

henrickrw

Thanks for this. Maybe they are palying the ass of themselves... Let me ask them if they know about the deal...

ayandakeith

If the IT department does not know what BES 10 is, they are either older than 75 or your company might have to contribute offer them as sacrifice to the unemployment gods.

Nice video by the way. All BlackBerry needs now is for someone to start making hundreds of these types of videos to get the message out there.

Why can't BlackBerry advertise like this?

Agreed. Great advertising. Good job BlackBerry!

I suspect BlackBerry paid for some of that advertisement. It is called co-op advertising.

Has nobody at BlackBerry the basic business sense to realize that www.bes10.com isn't redirecting correctly?

Z10 STL100-1 / 10.2.0.429

BBQ8

Strange. It's trying to redirect to the nonexistent http://global.blackberry.com/redirects/business/software/bes-10.html for me.

Nice video, by the way.

Bam!!! That was excellent....

Glad to see there are some organizations - still left on this planet - who are about "productivity and security" over "Instagram and Netflix"...

But if you have a few iWhiners... you calm still throw them in BES10...

Best "Marketing Piece" I have seen from BlackBerry in a very long time.

Too bad they didn't play that at the Super Bowl....

Prem WatsApp

Yeah, more if this...

BlackBerry need to listen into CB, this is where bugs get reported first, haha .... and establish ways of providing direct feedback C2B (consumer to business, i.e. BBRY), email, website, on-device, in-app, etc. like no one else before, and make this the most rock solid mobile experience ever ...

It almost seems like every Monday another company joins the BES 10 family. keep it growing BlackBerry!

AtInsider

Good move to have a video explaining why BB10 and BES10 is the best.
We need more companies coming forward explaining why BBRY is the best.

rickster2611

The circle has been turning, there is still the consumers to convince.

We are back to the beginning with BlackBerry.

It always started with business and then the consumer.

Time build devices that the consumers want business and ordinary.

BlackBerry needs a technology trends team. The aim would be to follow and anticipate new trends in smartphone world.

I can understand the cautious approach because BlackBerry doesn't have a bottomless pit of money like the competition.

Time for guerrilla warfare.

They are big you are small.

Pick your battles carefully.

Offer free demonstrations of new BlackBerry Z30 and future devices at every airport and conference in America.

Teams of 5-10 people.

Every time the competition releases a new device be there at the opening.

Time to outthink the competition.

Annoy the crap out of the competition.

Psychological warfare at its finest.

Great stuff... blackberry is doing well in the UK. Go there quite a but and I see more BlackBerry 10 there than in any other country. Not surprise that the UK is now their number one market! Go blackberry!!!

To rickater...... consumer market is a loss cause at the moment. putting more blackberrys into the corporate world will be the best marketing possible. Once people see it most will like it and tell their friends about it.at the moment most people still think of the blackberry curve or bold as the typical blackberry!!!

Yeah, funny how all the tech companies are adopting the cutesy fun piccolo music that Apple started years ago. Some how, I have not grow bored of it yet.

Got my Z10 with EE. I hope they include the Z30 in their website at some point.

Nice commercial. BlackBerry needs a dozen more like it.

I wonder what other connections this company has to BlackBerry? Seems like it was more of a BlackBerry commercial than their own....

EE, owners of Orange and T Mobile have really taken a back seat on BlackBerry devices, virtually non existent on BlackBerry 10.

Even my upgrade, for the first time never have I seen so few blackberry device choices.

EE is end of life-ing both Z10 and Q10.

This was reported two weeks ago.

Great advert for BES10 and for BlackBerry more generally. This advert needs to be run on TV though I think to get more exposure. As we can even see in this thread it's not necessarily the company that presses for this sort of change but the user/employee. So allowing employees, i.e., the public, to see this on TV would probably help.

Olha Zemts

This is a right direction for blackberry, even as a consumer i would get interested in the product after watching video like that.

Now share it on youtube as well
