Bell customers will be happy to know that the Bell TV app has made its way to BlackBerry 10. The free app allows Bell TV customers to watch live TV including over Wi-Fi while Bell Mobility Customers can connect to Mobile TV and view on-demand programming.

The app also provides channel guides, alert notifications, feature programs and more. Of course you'll need to be in Canada and a Bell customer to take part in the fun, but the app itself looks pretty sweet overall.

  • Bell TV customers: Watch many channels included in your Fibe TV or Satellite TV subscription over Wi-Fi for free1.
  • Bell Mobility customers: Connect to Mobile TV and enjoy 10 hours of viewing live and On Demand TV channels for only $5/mo over the cellular or a Wi-Fi network with no impacts to your data plan.
  • Customers with both Bell TV and Bell Mobility: Enjoy the most live and On Demand TV channels. Connect to Mobile TV and get 10 hours of viewing for only $5/mo over the cellular network2. Viewing on Wi-Fi is free for channels you can access as part of your Bell TV home subscription, and part of the 10 hours of viewing for channels you access through the Mobile TV add-on.

The Bell TV app is available free for the Z10 and Q10.

The 'mobility app' is already on the Z10 as SIM Services. Click on that and you have access to the self serve and a couple other features.

Self serve brings you to a website. Other than that you can access your phone number or "special numbers". It's hardly a useful app.

It's awesome I get TMN and HBO and a bunch of other movies and on demand shows. Great app Bell.

CB10- BlackBerry Z10

Been waiting for this! Thank you Bell! It's been part of my plan since Feb. But obviously I could not make use of it. It's free and doesn't count against your data for 10 hours mobile viewing if you get 1 gig or more of data per month in your contract.

From my sweet BB10 Neutrino powered Z10 :D

Thank goodness for unlimited data. Thank goodness for Telus. Bah only wifi on Telus hahaha well with my rocking lightning speeds this should be awesome

Can you view your TV Subscription over wifi if you are not at home? Eg at a hotel while travelling. If so sure puts a kick into Netflix Canada and given the fact the BlackBerry phones have an HDMI out port makes this awesome. BB10 keeps getting attention of some big corporations.

BlackBerry will survive in the Corporate and Government Sectors! My Z10 is so much better than an iphone!

I'll test it to see. Either way I love this app... since there is no HBO go app to TMN app for BB10, this actually does the job... and better!

Damn it doesn't allow display on an external device. I am starting to think that the reason this app was delayed is because Bell ask BlackBerry for an OS update to prevent mirroring.

Too bad... i would pay extra to have that available... Hmmm maybe not. My bill us already high enough

This is frigging big news. Now for all the big media company like Rogers and Shaw and the big banks in Canada at least to show some love for our battered BB . gotta start somewhere for these useful apps for BB10 for our daily living

THAT, right there would go a major way in BB10 sales. There are toooo many ads out there which only say get it on the app store and google play.

Working great for me.. put in my bell satelite TV credentials and i'm watching live news over wifi at the office now..

Only thing left is to find a way to have my Z10 connect to it's own hotspot so I can trick the app into thinking i'm on wifi when i'm out of the office!

Also, this is a beautiful native app. It's fast, responsive and feature rich. Very well done by Bell!!

Content viewed over Wi-Fi at home will count towards your monthly Internet data usage......NOT COOL

That's excellent I might switch back to bell, Telus is still dragging their feet on a Optik app they have all kinds of stuff for the iCrap, frustrating come on Telus support all the platforms you sell, or you might loose an Optik customer...

From the Zed of Rockivy

so let me get this straight any bell customer can use this, however if we dont have the Bell TV option on our mobility account it gets charged as regular data and if we have the option it is just $5 and no data usage?

This does not work for Bell Aliant customers, even on fibre op. Bell apparently has about 5 different companies in Canada that are not associated to each other.

If you're in eastern Canada this app is useless unless you have the old bell expressvu satellite service.
