BBSmart Email Viewer

The boys at BBSmart have released yet another update to their best-selling Email Viewer for the BlackBerry. If you're not familiar with BBSmart's Email Viewer, you'll want to check out CrackBerry.com's Interview with BBSmart's developer, Neil Sainsbury for all the details.

BBSmart has a lifetime upgrade policy. If you already own a copy you can download the updated version for free. And if you haven't given BBSmart's Email Viewer a go yet, a free trial is available. You can find out what's new in version 2.3 after the Jump.

What's new in Version 2.3?

Here's what Neil Sainsbury, the lead developer, had to say:

For version 2.3, we:

    • We hit the gym and lost a lot of weight! Down from 240 to 130K!
    • Changed around the graphics used on several options and trial related screens
    • Can now press the 'Enter' key when a link is highlighted to launch the browser
    • Fixed up email scrolling behavior when using shortcuts and then switching to the thumbwheel
    • Added in a signal strength indicator on the connection setup screen
    • Added in ability to change header font size & bold preference (and pick a smarter default size)
    • Added in the "PIN <user>" option to the menu when contact has a PIN number
    • Made some optimizations to improve email loading times
    • Fixed up email header scrolling behavior (no more "lost cursor")
    • OS v4.1 users will now be able to use the "Add to Calendar" functionality

And finally, as part of our ongoing efforts to move BBSmart Email Viewer more towards a complete email solution (rather than just being a "viewer") we've added in email templating aka "SmartSay". If you are not familiar with email templating, the fundamental idea is that you can pre-save responses: email signatures, your phone number, email address, etc. Then when you are composing an email just select "SmartSay..." from the menu, pick whatever it is you want to insert and have it automatically inserted in the email. It's great if you find typing certain things (like your business email signature or phone number) a pain! Also great because this provides the exact same functionality that you find in some other $10 - $20 BlackBerry apps. and you get it for free. Laughing

That's the scoop! You can download a trial or buy a copy of BBSmart Email Viewer 2.3 at the CrackBerry.com Store

I like this app already, however, it says to go to bbsmart app on phone and test connection. I think I may have found the area (even though it doesn;t have it's own icon) and settings say test connection. When i do it says to check radio????????? Is there a number i can call for tech support or step by step instructions. I am new to the crackberry and barely know my way around. So far the app has changed the look and taken away all thje programming language. I would love to buy it, if, i could see what it looks like with pictures in my mail as well!!!!
