For those of who are using the BBM Music app, there is update available today which brings the app version to 1.1.0.17. If you haven't already, you should get prompted to update soon. There is no changelog given this time around, however one thing I noticed was that the first time I loaded it up after updating it gave me a 'Tip' pop-up window on how to best use BBM Music - use WiFi as you may incur charges when using the mobile network, save songs to device for faster loading times.

If you do find anything new be sure to hit up the forums and let us know. Don't forget that you can get up to 6 months free service if you download BBM Music during the month of February.

I can honestly say that this is the one thing I do miss about my 9930. I wish they would bring this to the PB or make an app for other platforms and make it universal, but since it's embedded into the BBM, I doubt it will.

+1 for a pb version.
It works really well on my torch 9800. Big thing is to add as many people as you can even if you dont know them. It helps build your playlist and that makes a huge difference.
The playlist function is also a great way to add music that you dont have. Update still isnt showing up so trying an ALT+RST to see if that helps.

Was hoping support for Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 3.1) which is the technology that supports artist/track info via Bluetooth would be baked into this update...unfortunately, not this go around :(

I would occasionally get a message saying "playback error" which would necessitate a reboot (battery pull). I downloaded this new version yesterday and haven't gotten a playback error since (Curve 8900/OS 5.0). Otherwise LOVIN' this app and think everyone should sign up! Oh yeah, and add me as a BBM contact so we can share 21C03793!!!
