BBM for BlackBerry 10 and Android updated with new features and enhancements

After spending some time in beta, BlackBerry has now rolled out the latest BBM updates for BlackBerry 10 and Android. This time around, there is plenty of new features and enhancements including upgraded group chat, the ability to share longer videos, iOS and Android users can now make video calls for free directly from BBM and much, much more! Have a look at the full list of notable changes:

BlackBerry 10

  • Upgraded group chat! Start a group chat with up to 250 contacts.
  • Photos, lists, and calendar updates display in chat (calendar and lists only for groups of up to 50 contacts)
  • Retract expanded to stickers, files, and more.

Android

  • Free Video calls! BBM users on iOS and Android can now make video calls for free directly from BBM
  • Upgraded group chat! Start a group chat with up to 250 contacts. Photos, lists, and calendar updates display in chat (calendar and lists only for groups of up to 50 contacts)
  • Share longer videos
  • Retract expanded to stickers, files, and more
  • Set duration for muting notifications
  • Sign up using your phone number
  • New Discover Screen – From the new Discover screen, you can get stickers and subscriptions

As we know from the betas, there is surely an iOS update coming as well but iOS updates typically follow a few days behind the BlackBerry 10 and Android updates. That said, both the BlackBerry 10 and Android versions are live right now, so go grab them if you haven't already.
