Frogmind bringing their hit game BADLAND to BlackBerry 10

By Bla1ze on 28 Aug 2013 06:05 pm EDT

Some rather huge gaming news for BlackBerry 10 has just arrived ahead of the PAX Prime conference happening in Seattle, Wa. August 30th - September 2nd. Indie Game developers Frogmind are bringing their 2013 Apple Design Award-winning game, BADLAND to the platform.

BADLAND is an award-winning atmospheric sidescrolling action adventure platformer taking place in a gorgeous forest full of various inhabitants, trees and flowers. Although the forest looks like it’s from some beautiful fairytale, there seems to be something terribly wrong. The player controls one of the forest’s inhabitants to discover what’s going on. Through his journey he discovers astonishing amount of imaginative traps and obstacles.

Amassing over 7 million downloads on iOS and and one of our own Simon Sage's picks of the week on iMore, BADLAND will bring the same beautiful graphics and smooth, one-touch gameplay of the original to BlackBerry 10.

Now that's some news at least there's one more big name not acting too stuck up for bb10

Might I add I think BlackBerry should be more focused on getting these kinda big name apps on board and more decent adds that dive into bb10 showcasing the hardware and software. I think that would bring some sort of turn around instead of this possible selling ish.

Ya saw Daniel Bader report this on twitter. Awesome stuff! Blackberry 10 clearly is ramping up!

See, now you're going to review it, then I'll buy it..

Then my kids are that much farther from their post secondary education *haha*

So, why are they bothering? We're screwed you know!

It's not real, it's not real!

Alongside the tons of games I've downloaded (hats off to James, you memory grabber, you).

Great stuff, can't wait to try it out....

Feel it, Swipe it, Love it. BlackBerry Z10...

Nm, I just found this thing called the in-ter-net.

It says $3.99 for iOS.

This is how you CB10, son!

BlackBerry should focus on apps and developers like this one. I hope we can have that one unique and to-die-for app that's only available in BlackBerry.
