AT&T offering up the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and Torch 9860 next week for just a penny

If you've been thinking about grabbing a BlackBerry Torch 9810 or Torch 9860 from AT&T, you may want to think a bit harder next week. AT&T is offering up both devices for just a penny as part of their holiday promotion. You'll have to sign a new 2-year contract as an upgrade or new line to be eligible for the promo price, but you'll save a bundle on the device itself if you do so. The Torch 9860 will be available for $0.01 on Sunday November 27th and the Torch 9810 on Monday November 28th. Sadly no love for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 as it will still run you full price. Head to the link below for more.

BBs use less data right ? Likely a promotion to keep data usage down ?

Hmmmm. I wonder if customer service will get me the same price since my device is only 14 days old? A thing to ponder, an answer to seek. ;)

Yeah you got 30 days.

If I get the phone for a penny and then cancel within 30 days. Does At&T still charge you the early termination fee??

Yes, This is what I've been waiting for. My son is in love with the 9860 & his B-day is just around the corner. Sweet.

Well, at least you folks can buy a Torch 9810...
Here in Asia (eg: Hong Kong), RIM still did *not* launch the Torch 9810, we cannot buy it yet, despite 3+ months since "worldwide" product announcement !!
Gives new meaning to vaporware :(
