Great idea...but BES Express is free and works fine with the lower cost BIS service.....

What's BES Express? My company discourages use of BBs in favor of Active Sync phones because they say they have to pay for employees to use BBs to receive emails via BB.

With the release of the FREE verison of BES why does AstraCrap even still exist? I tried using this dumpy buggy software and it's horrible. They still don't have access to RIMS apis so that means no custom notifications no LED light up on new e-mails. It has a horrible 100% java based interface that crashes a lot.. Just horrible.

BEZX

BES express is a free version of BlackBerry Enterprise "they" have been misinformed.

Well, kinda... you still need someone to setup and configure BESX on your local network, as well as a dedicated or semi-dedicated machine for it... If you just need one or two users astrasync is easier imho...
