It's Friday: Time for the CrackBerry app bargains of the week

By James Richardson on 13 Sep 2013 09:49 am EDT

The end of the working week is here once again so it's time for some BlackBerry 10 app bargains. One of my favorite games has had a price drop and that's Flight Cargo Mobile. We first took a look at that one on the PlayBook and I still play it every few days believe it or not. It's a tough one, but my kinda game. Pop Corny is there too, another super game that the CrackBerry team love, so be sure to check that one out.

This week we have a fair mix of apps and games so there should be something for everyone. There haven't been any decent apps go free unfortunately, unless you want to learn Chinese, but the discounts will do me just fine.

Business Card Reader XT: $2.99 $4.99

Pop Corny: $0.99 $1.99

Flight Simulator Boeing 747: $1.99 $4.99

Podcasts: $0.99 $1.99

Fly Cargo Mobile: $0.99 $1.99

Hill Racing: $0.99 $1.99

Car Locator $0.99 $1.99

And if you need more information and our opinions on apps, don't forget to check out our CrackBerry App Gallery where you'll find out what's good app/game wise for BlackBerry 10, including our editors choices!

James, fly Cargo is my favorite game. I never get tired of it, although I have been wanting and waiting for more levels. I wrote Dmitry, the developer, telling him of my appreciation for his work and game and my craving for more.

Arrrrrgh! Damn Post button too close to the text box... or having too big and clumsy thumbs. Anyway, to continue, and bottom line, there have been no updates for the PlayBook app beyond I never bothered to load the app on my Z10 because it plays so well on the PlayBook and I like the bigger screen.

I see the version for the Zed is and the screen shots show significant differences from the PlayBook version . Do you know has Dmitry doing more with the app for BB10 and is no longer supporting the PlayBook?

Thanks James for doing these! however, would is be possible to signify z10 apps vs q10 apps? i ask because wide-screen games naturally will be awkward on the q10...yet i'd say all the lists of best apps/bargain apps/fav apps listed on crackberry is always bb10 in general

Agree with the above post. It doesn't show much thought or investigation to promote a game - 747 Flight Sim - that has got slaughtered by all but one review.

I don't think James got the memo regarding "thought" or "investigation". The apps that he reviews/recommends frequently receive negative comments. I think his mission is quantity not quality.
