Announcing the winners of the Mobile Nations No Tricks, Just Treats Halloween Costume Contest!

The judges worked long and hard going through the 300+ submissions in the Mobile Nations No Tricks, Just Treats Halloween Costume Contest, and they have finally narrowed it down and chosen 15 winners! There were so many incredible entries, from funny to scary with everything in between, and all of them were super creative, so this was a really hard contest to judge! We appreciate all the pictures that were submitted, and hope that you all had as much fun entering as we did getting to see everyone.

Congratulations to all the winners!!!

I am a little sad I didn't win, but than again I did not even try at all. It was the day of Halloween and I had no costume at all. But my BBM shirt finally came in that day. Than the wheels in my head started turning and I figured, let me put on my shirt, put on my BlackBerry hat, strap a few older BlackBerrys to my belt, turn my PlayBook into a giant necklace and I can be "BlackBerry Guy" for halloween. Than a friend of mine sees the photo and says: "Haha, you look like CrackBerry Kevin!" Than I submitted the photo. The three creeps behind me made the photo that much funnier.

Oh well, hopefully next year with a few BBX devices :-)

Ok this that supposed to be a dead Steve Jobs as the first costume in the video. If it is that horrible taste to show that. If not and I am the only one to see it then I apologize.

Probably not the right post to ask this, but on the topic of treats at least, what do you think the odds are that the first BBX phone will have a physical design anything in the realm/quality/style of the Nokia Lumia 800 just announced? I can't wait to get the first full touch BBX phone as I absolutely love where RIM is taking the BBX platform, but I have to admit I think the Nokia 800 is a gorgeous looking phone and would love to see RIM embrace such a design aesthetic. BBX, 4g, nfc, dual core, dual high quality cameras, and a design like that Nokia phone and I'd be in Blackberry heaven.

I think RIM is going to go all out in redefining Blackberry with this phone - just curious on your thoughts as to how far they are going to push their industrial design.

Michelle are you really asking how its in bad taste to dress as someone that died less than 3 weeks ago? Its not that hes is dressed as Steve Jobs its that hes dressed as a dead steve jobs. The same way it was disrepectful for Bill Mahr to dress as Steve Irwin with a stingray stinger sticking out of his chest shortly after Steve Irwin was killed. I think its just kind of respect thing. If it does not bother you then cool, thats not a problem with me. Will I lose sleep over this...no I just think its in bad taste.

This was all done in good fun!
Besides, THIS IS WHAT HALLOWEEN IS ALL ABOUT, PAYING RESPECTS TO THE DEAD. We dress up as other people, ghosts, goblins and all sorts of crazy things...and CELEBRATE!
3 weeks or 3 years...I doubt anybody is disrespecting Steve Jobs. As much as I don't like Apple or the general image(in my opinion)that it has based on the users, I still love all people and have respect for everyone, alive or dead.
