Back in October, Rovio announced their latest installment in the Angry Birds series, Angry Birds Go and promised it's arrival in December. Here we are now, eleven days in an the game has arrived in BlackBerry World for BlackBerry 10. This one however, takes a new twist on the franchise and doesn't have you slinging birds across the screen. Instead, it's more a throwback to Mario Kart in the fact that you race birds and piggies down a race track at breakneck speeds.

  • FIRST-EVER 3D ANGRY BIRDS WORLD! See the birds and pigs from every angle as Piggy Island comes alive in this rich and colorful 3D world!
  • RACE AS THE BIRDS OR PIGS! Jump behind the wheel and race as Red, Chuck, Terence, Stella, King Pig, Moustache Pig and many other favorites!
  • MASTER THE TRACKS! Plenty of racetracks, stunt roads, air courses and off-road races – each throwing big and unexpected challenges your way!
  • AWESOME SPECIAL POWERS! Smash your opponents off the road and take that winning position thanks to unique special powers for each character!
  • MANY GAME MODES! Test your skills with super-fun and surprising game modes: Race, Time Boom, Fruit Splat, Champion Chase and Mega Match!
  • UPGRADE YOUR RIDE! From a homemade soapbox car to a super-fly supercar, with tons of karts and awesome ways to upgrade – yours to earn or purchase!
  • MUCH MORE TO COME! The race has only just begun – so look out for many more fun things coming your way!
  • TELEPODS! A groundbreaking new way to play! Now teleport your favorite characters into the race by placing your Angry Birds Go! TELEPODS figures on your device's camera!
  • ToonsTV READY TO GO! The home of the hugely popular Angry Birds Toons animated series, plus many other top-quality videos!

Angry Birds Go is a free download from BlackBerry World but it does have some in app purchases. Actually it probably has a lot of them and likely borderlines abuse of the IAP system to a point where it's insanely frustrating to people who just want to play the game, so keep that in mind.

Also, it's only available for the Z10, Z30 and P'9982 so Q10 and Q5 owners are left out of this one sadly. We'll get a hands on with the game up soon enough but for now if you're looking to get in on the action hit the link below or search for it in BlackBerry World

Angry Birds Go now available for select BlackBerry 10 smartphones

I dunno, the BlackBerry versions don't usually have ads, it could be a nice promotion like Angry Birds Space for making us pay like 3$ in the past on PlayBook versions....

I like big BlackBerrys and I can't lie!

It's not as bad as Android advertising. From the 1 hour play experience. I actually don't think I've run into an ad yet.

You're sad it's at the same time? You should be happy it's not 2 years later for once. No pleasing people these days.. lol

I have a Q for biz and productivity,

then grabbed a cheap Z10 at bargain price for games and fun. No regrets, just battery life is no match.

My name is Prem, I'm using BBM ... from my QuZe10 ...whatarhyme...

Yeah i guess I had just never thought about the q10 not getting games because I never really care for games. This one just looked awesome, especially if they had online! Also I had a z10 before my q10, the q10 is a beast!

Great news!

Sadly I'm using a Q10 as a daily driver. Asphalt 7 & Real Racing 3 work just fine on the small screen, so why not this game?

Ah well, I'll install it on my Z10.

That they do. Looks like I won't be playing this bird game on my Q. Awe well, that's why I have a cheap Samsung tab for lol.

It was more or less known from the very bbeginning of BB10 that botth QWERTY devices will get less games compared to the full-touch counterparts. The odd resolution in combination with the rather small screens are the problems here. Honestly I tried quite some games on my Q10 and only found a very few of them somewhat enjoyable, because neither the 1:1 ratio,Nor the small screen were showstoppers.
On the bright side to all QWERTY fans: The gaming situation still is much much better than it was on legacy devices!

It's a shame there's no option to allow this but beam it to the TV or tablet screen and use the q19 as the controller.

The q10 is a great device that should have options like this for games far better suited on larger screens

Brilliant! Would be nice to know how much each 'extra' costs before being taken to the payment page though...

I hate developers/apps that don't tell you what it actually costs until you're in the payment screen

just delete it because after playing a game my mobile is almost crashed and it goes very slow. Did a reset and mobile is working normal . Start the game again same problem (lag) .

Use a Blackberry Z30 OS - No GO 4 me

Nice to see Devs releasing games at the same time as other platforms. Moar plz.

sure I read post Bla1ze "Also, it's only available for the Z10, Z30 and P'9982 so Q10 and Q5 owners"
but i visit Blackberry world with Smart Tag and find this game not able download button just "Angry Bird GO! Unavaiable for this device"

sorry I understad "so Q10 and Q05" sorry for my bad reading english

Finally! We are getting more mainstream apps everyday. Netflix and Spotify are probably tooling away in their workshop on something native for us trying to not look stupid for taking too long to get with the program.

I used my Z10 to create this CrackBerry madness!

Now if only we could get NFS most wanted, my game app gap would definitely be closed :)

Z30 : No more peasants battery life

Shame you can't set the steering by tilting the phone. Instead you have to touch the screen

Posted via CB10

Yeah. Is it just for BlackBerry 10 version? The game feels more natural to control by steering.

Posted via CB10

That's why I'll stick to playing it on my Nexus 7 (in which the option is there), as if other racing driving games for BB10 can do steering by tilting the device, why can't the BB10 version of this app?

I'm happy that these type of games are being released at the same time as every other platform.

You are now in my Bingo Book

Great game, only issue is energy recharge time... But it is easy to fix it, so try it everyone)

Makes no sense that there are many other racing games out there for the Q series that work absolutely fine on the device, but developers still feel the need to segregate and blacklist Q users when developing their software. I highly doubt that ant Zed user can say that any software that is written for the 10 OS was not available for their device. This is quite annoying to say the least. Just wanted to voice my own opinion on the state of the app offerings we Q users are subjected to.

The game is great however missing a lot of stuff compared to android.....No register with rovio button....its not in HD graphics are poor....They gave us a dumb down version of it compared to iOS Android and Windows......come Rovio release an update soon to improve the graphics....its look horrible compared to Android.....

This makes me thing about how badly I want Mario Kart on my Z and PlayBook...

I turned off the sound and it's perfect, must be a problem with the android runtime in 10.2.1. Same thing happens with some other android sideloads
