Standard colors not good enough? Grab an 18 carat gold BlackBerry Torch instead

If picking up a BlackBerry Torch in red or white isn't your thing, maybe you'll want to spring for an 18 carat gold one instead. This creation from Alexander Amosu will run you a bit more than the normal off-contract price however at about $12,000 USD. The mid plate of this tircked out Torch is solid 18 carat gold, while the rest of the pieces are colored in metallic gold. The unit weighs 38 grams and is available in yellow, rose and pink gold. You can also add diamonds to the design if you need some extra bling and every unit comes with a matching crocodile or python case (I guess plastic is so 2010). If you have a few thousand to blow and want to pick one of these bad boys up, head to alexanderamosu.co.uk for more.

Well not that bad,

If you happen to be one of the many many people who do smart phone reviews and complain that the Torch @ 161grams is too heavy for you, then you better skip this option and move along.
btw - yep...ugly

Only 4 words. "More money than brains." o.o

If I would spend 12000 on this phone I wouldve pre-paid my contract monthly bill for the 3 years. I'd laugh if someone is tupid enough to spend that much one that phone and gets stolen on less then a week, then record their reaction and post it on YouTube. Hey I will definitely get a good laugh out of their reaction haha.

i got my bold 9000 keyboard in 14k solid gold now the torch is out heh ill never do that again, pure waste of money and gold, better off putting it into something worth more attention, torch 2 is just around the corner if you got money to burn go right ahead but my the time the torch 2 drops your will be set back with a slower torch, my jeweler does a dam good job on my phones as is and i can get the same quality for tons less cheers. solid gold yes i did say solid gold up it a notch to 24k with some platinum.

LOL the fact that people say this a waste of money and then go on about it are simply goofy. Of course it's a waste of money! that's the effin point. Only wealthy people will buy one. And more to the point, only wealthy BlackBerry fans will do this. As an uber-fan, I'd do this in heartbeat if I had money to burn!
So yes, it's tacky, gawdy, etc, etc. But that's the point. If you WOULDN'T do it, you're no fan, and thus, you really don't have place on this board. Go away.
